Too expensive. Brokerage, taxes, stamp duty... Also, when you sell stocks and transfer the funds back to your bank acc there is an additional charge on that. Even their low brokerage plans have hidden clauses. Not at all a good option. I regret opening an account with ICICI Direct. Edelweiss, Zerodha are way way better.

ICICI Direct has one of the stupidest SLTP process. If you are selling then your SLTP price is supposed to be greatter than your target price & if you are buying then your SLTP price is supposed to be lower than your target price. Have complained multiple times but they refuse to change the process.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to use ICICI Direct, especially for trading.

They have started giving Competition for all Discount Brokers.. if you are into positional trading, You pay 900+tax for a year and get brokerage at .25% and options 20/trade +5 /lot and currency there is no brokerage involved. This looks to be a good deal..
on the Cons: Margin Plus cannot be converted to delivery so you have to square off if that trade is not conducive

Closed Ended MF can't be bought/sold on ICICIDirect
The support people are no good. Though, I have a relationship manager but he can't resolve any issues.

ICICI Securities is probably THE WORST stock brokers in India. Their online trading portal is very slow and erratic, when you try to contact their customer service, even that does not work and you get told to go to the portal! Emails never get a response. The only time you hear from their half- English, half Hindi speaking people is when they have a new product/service! Pathetic service and yet they charge unimaginable brokerage. They should be banned.

I am using this platform since last 18-20 years.
Please donot open account with icicidirect. Reason
1) To get customer they introduced multiple platform but not a single is complete. Surprise but true is no proper charting tool with them.
2) Very confusing website for newcomer. To attarct customer they place single link to many places. Many link does not work.
3) Very high brokerage.
4) There customer care support is very weak. Even after using their platform for 20 years I am not getting help from them. They increase their customer but does not increase server capacity so you cannot login to trade racer platform.
5) I ADVISE NOT TO OPEN DEMATE AND TRADING ACCOUNT WITH THEM ELSE YOU WILL REPENT

You can sell your stock through BTST option

Charges are extremely high please avoid all together. Despite buying at lower levels or selling a higher level the buy and sell value end up being higher no matter what.. I have recently moved to zerodha and can say they are more transparent and charge less.

They are 100 percent cheating with customer I can prove with live trading session there are many instances when they close position automatically also they do not share any rule if any changes happen with regards to margin
