@KSRK sir, Can I know why you are suggesting upto 150 shares when we can buy upto 610 shares. Is it AR will be very less and we may not get expected returns? Or am I missing something else??

Sir, As the size of the buyback is not considered to be a great one, one may purchase around 100 shares for tendering in the buyback to try your luck. AR n Returns are likely to be not that much attractive in my opinion. Thank you n all the best to all of you.

A couple of years back I participated in Oil India buyback through SBI Securities. I called the customer care, they sent me the required form on mail which I filled up, scanned and e-mailed back. That was all I did and my shares were tendered in buyback. So, better to contact customer care.

It will be visible same like ipo when the date is out for tender your shares but TCS it is yet not decided. Only record date is out but not tender date for applying. So if you have shares in your demat then you are eligible up to 23rd Feb. Wait for tender date.
Buyback Mode: Tender Buy back price Rs.600 Current market price Rs.494.3 (NSE) Buy back size 14.16.667 shares (9.8% of paid-up equity share capital and free reserves) & o 2.8% of paid-up Equity Share capital Promoter's holding 71.82% Record date 21st February 2022
On 31st December public holding was 8.7%. some of them may be holding shares worth more than Rs 2 lakh. Can we conclude that er in retail (reserved) category will be more than that in general category?

Sir, It’s the number of shares held on the Record Date n submitted for the buyback, not the number of shares tendered for the buyback only, is the criteria to be considered under a particular category. Thank you.

Wanted to confirm from experts that 2 lakh retail quota is calculated based on record data highest volume price right? and its not buyback price (4500 in tcs case)
I couldn't find the confirmed info in tcs forum page here, so wanted to confirm. but got the info from this page:- Q. What is the eligibility condition for retail shareholder? https://investorzone.in/everything-about-the-buyback-you-want-to-know/
If you are holding shares worth less than 2lakh on Record date, then you will be eligible for buyback. The highest volume closing price on NSE or BSE is taken as reference for calculating 2 Lakh condition.
@lokes,@KAMMA SHIVA RAMA KRISHNA, If I buy TCS on Monday (14/02/2022) then am I eligible for buyback? Buyback record date hasn't been announced yet perhaps, Thanks
Yes you will be eligible as record date is not yet announced. On Monday, it may come to 3650 and I think it's good price to enter. You need to buy upto 2 Lakhs as on record date to be in retail category.
@Suneel ji, Thanks, but AR won't be more than 60% max I think as price is dwindling day by day due to NASDAQ plunge owing to rate hike fear and high valuation, also BB participation is much higher this time compared to previous BB.
@Sbiipo I agree, AR could be less than or close to 40%. Irrespective of AR, TCS is a good portfolio stock and good price to enter. Anyhow, looks you have good idea about overall market conditions and you know what to do...
What will be probable acceptance ratio in tcs buy back.can I purchase 44 share.if minimum acceptance is 4 shares than what is chance of Tcs share after buy back
I think AR could be around 40 to 50% as many people are participating in buyback and share price is also at 3694. There is good 800 rs per price and assuming 50% AR we will get 16K to 17K per profit. After buyback, price will increase as floating stock will reduce and also TCS is #1 IT company and long term portfolio stock.
