My reading is TCS price can settle below 4000/- share . It means that a retail investor category individual can hold unto 50 share as on record date i.e. 23/02/22. With only 2 more trading days before the record date, it's unlikely to spike above 4000/-
Please correct me if I am wrong.

It can be that there is an operators who's making sure that on 21st/22nd the CMP of scrip stays below 3800 and within a matter of a day they can make crash the scrip making the rate go lower than 3500 and make retail shiver and confuse them :
1. to book loss/ profit now OR
2. Wait for 2 months for buyback window to open and then get marginal profit

It is the number of shares held on the Record Date, not the number of shares submitted for the buyback, for arriving at the Category i.e., General or Retail.
