TCS Buyback

Individual Investors tendered 2.7cr shares till now, which is almost 4x of 60L shares buyback quota for retail investors. So Acceptance Ratio is going to be less than 25% :(

So only hope for investors who didn't tender shares yet like me is... share price to jump quickly this week itself to 4500rs ;)

Very very pathetic to see, bse or nse data on buyback subscription data is good for nothing.. no one knows what is retail or NII split.. it will take years for nse or bse to understand what they are doing...

@Amit…Eaxctly, what is the use of that buyback data when it not divided as per true requirement. In IPO, we apply selecting retail or NII and so they easily segregate. Similarly for buyback too, they should provide option to select Retail (under 2lk) separately as they were not able to generate it directly

@admin @forum-members , how fraction shares are treated ie I have 30 shares and if AR is 25% , how will they accept 7.5 shares , will they take 7 or 8 ?

closest round num of shares will be accepted. As calculations are done in lakhs, don’t think num will be exactly 7.5. They’ll accept 8 If 7.5001 or more and accept 7 if 7.499 or below

Is there still hope for price appreciation before 23rd? I think no as one must buy on17th so they can tender on 23rd.

Stock has fallen almost by 20% from the high of 310 on 16th Feb. Unless Buyback ER and subsequent AR is reasonably higher....most of the Buybackians will suffer losses... It may again prove.....No buyback offer is 100% failsafe..

I am holding 250 shares as on record date, I have not been considered as retail investor and I am coming under general category. As per the letter of offer my entitlement is only 2 shares. It is derived from 250 X entitlement ratio of 1.08 for the general category. If the general category holders apply more than their entitlement the chances of getting more shares are very remote to get more shares than the entitlement ratio of 1.08. I think all general category holders MF, FPI, Corporates, Banks etc will definitely apply. Still all general category holders are applying more than their entitlement, I do not know the reason Why?

Retailors of 1515185 numbers are holding shares 13.32 crores. If all the retail investors applied more than the entitlement shares, only their entitlement shares only will be accepted, remaining shares will be rejected. 60 lakh shares are reserved for retail investor. Acceptance ratio is not the same figure by merely 60 lakhs shares divided by number of shares applied into 100, which is not a correct figure. In case the retail share holders whose are not applying, their entitlement shares only available for the remaining applicants.

Seems AR will be not more than 25%. I thought BSE will have less bids but saw something startling. BSE itself have more than 200% bidding. Option to sell in open market must be considered.

I believe you can do it via CDSL easiest transfer.

Minors (Though they cannot trade) are entitle to participate in Buy Back without hesitation. Ask your DP/Broker to submit his TCS shares for buy back.

you will get to know both accepted shared and money gets credited to account by 31st March 2022(tentatively around that date). Generally one week from the day of last tender close date.
