My TCS shares are still available in my Groww account. When it will be blocked by the exchange? Or does it mean that broker has not placed the order on exchange?
The shares are Earmarked and shall be debited on 31st March as per Acceptance Ratio. On 29th March Acceptance Ratio shall be known as per bills of broker.
I applied buy back in angel broking - Online DIS- Add Beneficiary . but i applied in by mistake OFF MARKET . In mail show apply in on market. what can i do? Can i get 4500 rs per share in buy back process.
It has to be in Early Payin with details of settlement as BSE>Buyback>031>CM ID etc.
The shares shall be Earmarked and shall be debited on 31st March as per Acceptance Ratio. On 29th March Acceptance Ratio shall be known as per bills of broker.
Total shares tendered in Individual category - BSE = 6,22,21,854 NSE = 1,14,09,476 TOTAL = 7,36, 31,330 Assuming 50% to 30% to be small shareholders(below 2 lakhs) AR can well be between 16 to 28%.. A far cry from previous cent percent AR. Can result in net loss, if TCS do not cross 3800 to 4000.
4.1cr shares were held by small investors on record date and about 15cr shares by above 2lk holding individuals, so itโll be around 30-35% of 7.36cr total individual investors. Expecting 25-30% AR which falls into your upper range expectation. Anyways acceptance difference will be 0-3 shares depending on num of shares tendered by small investors.
Btw, why did you say net loss even when price stays in 3800-4000? I think it Will be in profit even if bought at 4000rs and 25% AR and selling rejected shares at 3800
As per buy back Prospectus of TCS Number of Small Shareholders is 21,10,826, Holding 4,10,51,350 Equity Shares. Total Number of bids received - BSE 7,88,620 + NSE 346343 = 1134963, Even Assuming that all bids are from Small Shareholders ( which is not a fact ), only 53.77 % small shareholders have submitted bid.
So the Acceptance Ratio will be at least double of Entitlement of 15%. Means Acceptance Ratio will be at least 30%
@SDZ, What i have written is - - if it does not cross 3800-4000,i meant if its below 3800. Also two times delivery (DIS) charges will apply, once for accepted share and secomd time for selling balance shares. But let's all hope for atleast 50%AR
I have applied for buyback through Groww. But still TCS shares are available in my protifolito i.e. not yet blocked .Does it mean that broker has not placed my buyback request on exchanges?
Total Individual investors tendered 6.5cr shares. Anyone any idea from prior buybacks experience about What % of this would be by small investors under 2lk category? 30% or 40%?
no one can tell this, no guess even. previous tcs buybacks were different since price during tender period was near to buyback price so AR was 100% in retail. Better don't keep assuming and don't look much. In some days, you will come to know anyways.
@Lokesโฆnothing wrong in making assumptions or expectations even if there is nothing you can do. It is same as applying for IPO and later making assumptions for allotment and listing price ๐
Else, Forums will go dry post buyback tendering and IPO application if everyone say stay calm anyways youโll come to know within few days ๐
Total individual shareholding as of 31st Dec 2021 was 3.83%. As of record date, small shareholding was 1.1%. based on this, we can assume around 30% retailer applications out of 7 Cr so for. Hence, it we extrapolate this figure, retail acceptance could be in the range of 25% to 30%.
Final figure will come only when we see money credited.
@Pramodโฆgood analysis bro. Even Iโm expecting 25-30% AR as small investors held 4.1cr shares on record date. and currently total individual investors tendered 7.1cr shares and assuming 30-35% are small investors
WHEN I TRIED TO SUBMIT BUY BACK FROM MY MOTILAL AC System had not allowed me. When i have asked MOFSL they said we don't have POA (Power of Attorney) from your side. I have given the same but they says it will take time to implement and may or may not be activated before cut off time. SO IT IS NOT SURE THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IN BUYBACK OR NOT My account is six month old. Is there any other way.
https://console.zerodha.com/portfolio/corporate-action-order-window In zerodha , its written as:
The TCS buyback orders will be collected between March 8, 2022 and March 23, 2022. While you see the offer end date as March 16, we will reopen the order window on the 16th until March 23.
Owing to the large number of client applications anticipated for TCS buyback, the orders will be placed on the exchange starting 17th March 2022 until the closure on 23rd March 2022 for the orders collected until then. Please make sure to maintain sufficient holdings in your Demat until the order window closes. The status of the orders placed on the Exchange will be communicated over an email.
@lokes ..Great to see you active again. Just want to ensue if i tender on 22nd in Zerodha then it will be fine. Since AR is expected to be less than 50% I want the option to open market sell active. Market is recovering in bits so still have some faith of price reaching 4100 before 23rd.

@ColdBurger : yes you can tender on 22nd march also from zerodha....just dont forget.....it will even open again on 23rd march till 1.30pm.... there will be no impact either you tender in starting or now or on 23rd.....all will be same thing.....
IMPORTANT: As per Zerodha site only up to 21st March the order will be collected. Even if they mention 23rd March but tender offer line show only 21st March. Wonder if they started take some cheap weed?
@lokes... Yes may be they open again on 22nd..but no sch notice seen. As if market turmoil was not enough they have started their own tantrums ...much to the worries of novice investors. ** Hope their data structure don't have the limitations in storing high currency values๐๐๐๐๐
@lokes I finally submitted from my both accounts keeping in mind they still show 21 March as order sumbit last date. Not much price change can happen in next two days. It is not a freaking pumping vedanda stock๐๐๐ Exited vedanta (forgotten GTT) and I lost good profit.
I tried to tender my TCS shares in SBI Securities. After filling and clicking Agree and Ok buttons, it fails with a message like "Buyback facility will be offered to you soon." What is this? Did anyone try in SBI Securities?
I had placed a buyback bid of 22 tca in Motilal Oswal and now my holding is showing zero.kindly let me know it is usual back practice as I am first time applying for buyback. Thanks
Same with me also. I tendered 15 shares of tcs through zerodha. But today everything is blank there. And again I can see no bid option is displaying there in console. What does it mean. Sir anyone can help me
Its normal for zerodha to take the tendered / surrendered shares out of yr holdings as these have been (or will be presented to tcs), after BB is over, if there is sthg leftover , it will be returned back to yr holdings.
As I learned Ones you put your shares for buyback,it will remove entirely from your holding. After event over You will get refund of remaining balance back to your holding and accepted shares amount (*4500) to your bank account This is my first experience also
@vantage @harit: it's not correct for every broker. Zerodha removes shares from portfolio after last date of tender. Till then they will be keep showing in holdings and you can even sell them in open market even after placing buyback order then simply buyback order will fail. And this time zerodha is doing in two phases, as i explained in my earlier messages here in other threads so whoever placed order by 16th, those shares are debited now and whoever will place buyback order from 17th till 23, those will be debited on 23rd night or 24th.
@IPOstonks...Individual investors tendered 2.11cr in BSE and 0.72cr in NSE. So total 2.83cr @ 1.45pm today. i'm not sure if individual investors means below 2lk (56 or below shares on record date). Experienced members in Buyback process can give more clarity on this
