guys, I am skipping this buyback

I think the price will crash once the record date is over as other IT stocks have corrected significantly and Wipro hasn't, due to the buyback support. Also, many senior level executives have resigned recently which is a huge red flag.

Infosys is available at a lower PE which is quite rare( check history)

And the current buyback can't be compared with previous ones because sentiment is quite bad/pessimistic for IT right now( earlier it was euphoric)

Do comment on this with your counter arguments if any

How to take part in buyback if we have shares in demat account?
For physical shares, they are providing tender form but for shares in demat account, kindly acknowledge the process?

you can place your Buyback order through your broker. Which Stock Broker are you using?

In Zerodha, goto Console. In Console -> Portfolio -> Corporate Actions
There you will see a list of companies whose Buyback has started. You can place your order there.

I feel not that beneficial, I am not applying.

I have never expected such a reply from your side. You must be aware that ER is around 17% then how can AR be less than 17%?

Just share a single example where you find AR was less than ER, irrespective of retail participation. Significant retail participation can never bring AR to be less than ER. If it's such a case then the chances are that AR will be equal to ER (it can't be less than ER).

But out of 17 only 1 accepted. Where I go forcomplain.

If I have 1 share of teamlease in my account on record date and as the record date passes I gift this 1 share from my zerodha account to my mom's zerodha account as we have facility of gifting shares in zerodha than will this 1 share which is now in mom's account be eligible for buyback ??If I apply for buyback from mom's account will this share be taken by the company ?

Hi Ravi,

The answer to your question is NO.

You can buy this script in your account again and can tender from your account only for being eligible for BB. Your mother is not eligible to tender share which means her order will be rejected by RTA.

Is it possible that 5 demat accounts are opened from single pan card and all the 5 accounts carry 1 share of symphony and than after applying for buyback from all the 5 demat accounts will the company accept all 5 shares which are held differently in 5 different demat accounts from a single pan card ??
