What is the last date on which an investor can buy Wipro share to become eligible for Buyback?

14th June 2023 to be very safe. Investors can buy on 15 June also as this is t+1 and no shortages comes from exchange.

I have bought Wipro on 15/6/23 and today it shows in t+1 holding in my upstox account
Is that i am eligible for buyback ?
As i have checked with chittorgarh website and i have already received push notifications from chittorgarh app regarding eligibility of last date on 15th of June

As today is the Ex date you can sell and buy again to tender all those shares.

In the buyback of the year 2020-21, the buyback price was Rs. 400/- and the market price on the closing day of the buyback I.e.,11/01/2021 has touched the price of Rs.440/- and on the subsequent day it touched the price of Rs. 460/-. It is needless to mention here that the AR was 100%. So, please don’t tender the shares for the buyback before the last day without observing the trend. This time also, I am hopefully looking forward for the AR of not less than 80% even in the present conditions of the market. All the best to all of you. Thank you.

Great to see you after long time kSRK sir. Last time I had sold in open market. However I had again bought at much higher levels, In March I booked loss for tax loss harvesting. Not going to buy fresh and will only plan to exit. Wipro has performed worst recently.

Postal ballot is allowed upto 01/06/2023 in this regard. Hence, I am of the opinion that the Record Date may be around 20/06/2023. All the best.

Buyback is tax free. If you sell in the open market you have to pay 10 or 15%
tax . so everybody will tender in buyback, the acceptance ratio will be less

For the benefit of the new investors, who desires to know about Retail/ small share holder or Retail Category, the following is reproduced below:
As defined under Regulation 2(i)(n) of the Buyback Regulations, a “Small Shareholder” is a Shareholder who holds Equity Shares whose market value, on the basis of closing price on Stock Exchanges as on Record Date, is not more than Rs 200,000/- (Rupees two hundred thousand only). For example, as on the Record Date, the volume of Equity Shares traded on BSE was 20000 and on NSE was 1,00,000 Equity Shares. Accordingly, NSE, being the stock exchange with highest trading volume, the closing price at NSE suppose was Rs 200 and hence all Shareholders holding not more than 1,000 Equity Shares (200000/ Rs.200 = 1000) as on the Record Date are classified as ‘Small Shareholders’for the purpose of the Buyback Offer…..
Thus the closing price on Record date is the criteria as detailed above. Hope it is clear now to act accordingly to ensure that you enjoy the advantage of the retail category.

So
1. RI categorization
is dependent on how many shares you HOLD in the DEMAT and NOT how many you surrender for buyback.
2. One needs to keep a certain safety margin in the numbers in demat that the total demaT value does not exceed 200000 on record date closing basis. (One can always sell the few extra ones on record date)

One more thing Is it advisable to buy at the earliest or do it nearer to record date.

Retail category depends on the number of shares held on the Record Date, but AR depends upon the number of shares held on the Record Date and submitted for the buyback.
You should sell extra shares before the Record Date but not on the Record Date.
Normally, the price will be more as Record Date approaches.

hi guys , im having 80 wipro at 497,is it good idea if i buy few more shares and bring the avg to around 410 and participate in the buyback? and can we expect a downmove after the buyback,because in quickheal tech there was a big down move after the buyback.can someone please suggest what to do to make some money out of this trade.

I was having 1-1 share in 5 different account. Today i.e 9 June Amount got credited for 2 account only. Remaining 3 account were not credited.
Anyone has face similar issue.I
In past also I have applied for buyback.
Can someone please help me

ER is 10 shares for 663 shares. Which means you are entitled to 1.50 shares only and fraction is to be ignored thus only 1 share if holding 100 shares.

1-1 share got accepted in all 5 account.
Today I got money in 2 account only I instead of all 5 account.
