We have 38 old remaining shares of previous buyback and purchased 12 yesterday so in total 50 shares in each account for tendering in buyback . But it seems that this time again no major profit will be there. Others opinion pl....

It totally depends on how share price moves

If it increases and get close to 4k(improbable), then close to 80% acceptance

If it stays around 3600-3700 then around 40% acceptance in my opinion

If it goes much below that like 3300-3400, more people will participate and tender so it will be around last time like 25%

Difference between last time and this time

1) no fancy this time, downsides are already priced in, time and price correction has already happened

2) TCS is a portfolio stock(you can keep the unaccepted shares, it is a good time to accumulate)

3) even last time, there wasn't any loss, just less profit or no profit

So I am participating in this buyback and hopefully will gain from it

@aashish Yes we are going to participate and no doubt about long term ... so finally decided to participate as already purchased the shares in previous buyback taken by company

Can i apply buy back from different brokers (I have a demat with 3 different brokers , so will it be rejected because of same PAN just like in IPOs?)

Shares under same PAN are clubbed, so doesnt makes sense to apply through different brokers. Also value of total shares held in different demats must be less than retail limit ,2lk rs.

BUY karne se pahele 100 bar sochna , last year buyback ke share abhi bhi account me hi hai aur same rate chal raha hai only 23% share gaye the . last time par 4500 me buy back tha , is time to buy back bhi kafi niche hai 4150.

Kapil, it is not compulsory to hold 44 shares. You can tender 34 no issues.

At least one will earn much higher interest yeald compared to Bank FD.that offers 7% on 1 year tenure.the unaccepted shares should immediately sold and reinvested in other share.Rs 4150 bb price and if AR is 20% its quite
higher gain then bank FD. one can calculate.

I dont think so. First, price falls after record date, as some people prefer to not keep shares till tender dates are announced. Second, after shares are accepted, everyone comes to sell the remaining shares, so naturally price falls more. This was observed in last tcs buyback, and everybody was stuck. So eventually it will be peanuts of profits or sometimes in loss too, as per my knowledge price falls 5-10% till you are able to sell the unaccepted shares

Your holdings will be considered under non retail Category. AR will be very less when compared to that of the Retail Category.

Yes, your sharess are entitled for buyback but under non retail and obviously ER and AR will be different, very less..
