There seems to be some confusion among members. 19th October is record date for Dividend and not Buyback. For buyback voting is going on and will be over on 15th November. After that they will announce the record which can be 25th November, as per my assumption.

Dear Experts

I have a Query regarding TCS Buyback.

Which Date/Price of TCS will be taken to calculate to fall under Retail Category of less than 2 Lakhs.

Is it the Buy Back Price of 4150/= or the Share Price on the Record Date or price of some another Date??

Pls advise so as top calculate the No of Shares under the Retail Category??

@Rahu, yes you should transfer the shares at least 2 days before record date to be on the safe side..

Your holdings will be considered under non retail Category. AR will be very less when compared to that of the Retail Category. Hence, It’s suggested to transfer the shares in excess of 50 to the Dmat accounts of your family members ( not more than 50 shares for each account)

on which exchange (BSE or NSE) this buyback is going to take place.
I have shares only on BSE exchange.
Last month, Sinclaire buy back was there but my shares were on NSE and my brocker has no arrangement at NSE, they have only at BSE., Hence my tender offer was not executed

Even now you are eligible but in non retail category where AR is far less.

Yes, you can transfer shares to family, friends and keep no of shares whose value shlould not be more than 2 lakhs on record date for buyback for max benefit.
