4150 is not the criteria.

2 lakh divided by last traded price on the record date (25th Nov 2023) on the exchange where there is relatively higher volume of the stock..
Round it off to the lower side.

AR depends on lot of factors, as of now it seems to be the same as last year around 25% to 30% in retail. In general category it will be far lower..

You can, but it's tricky

You have to sell on your another demat account broker on 23Rd (full service broker/ offline broker ) who is allowing selling of shares without available on demat account in lieu of necessary margin.
As this shares delivery date on T+1 on 26nd so you have to transfer shares by easiest from your first demat account

So you can eligible in buyback and you can sell early

Most probably, you have to sell 9 shares by 22 November or maximum by 23 November to qualify in retail category.
Hopefully Price of TCS will not cross Rs 4000 on 24 November evening.

I think if you sell 2 shares you will be in retail category at present market price of 3502. Although all depends on the closing price of Nov 24.

1. Pray karo ki closing price 3333 ke upar naa Jaye on 23rd, or
2. Adjust quantity as per the closing of 23rd.

Baad Baaki general category mein eligible toh ho aap agar record date takk rakhte ho.

Off topic question, but asking here because I bought some TCS shares as MTF (using ICICI Direct) - are MTF shares eligible for buyback entitlement? I am guessing the record date will be late November, and the tender window will be in December. I intend to unpledge the shares in early December, before tendering them.

Intuitively, I think it should be, because the shares are mine, and they have just been pledged, but I could be wrong.

Request experienced members/those who have done this to share their experiences.

As far as my knowledge goes, you are eligible for entitlement. But obviously you will have to unpledge them before tendering..

To avoid the possibility of non crediting of the shares in the accounts of your friends, if you transfer the shares just one day before the Record Date, it is suggested to transfer them at least two working days before the Record Date. If the shares are credited to their accounts by the Record Date, they can tender the shares for the buyback, even if they are single. Thank you n all the best.

1 share strategy surely will work if the buyback size is large but not so sure if it will work in other companies with lesser size buybacks!!
