Income from Buyback is tax free. This is the reason TCS is regularly doing buyback. So that Tata Sons can get money from TCS through buyback without tax implications.

Yes You can tender share in minor account too. For Prostocks you have to mail there customer care email for tendering with script name and tender quantity details

IPO Chacha, just go to your broker website or app, there must be an option. Offer to buy or buyback, something similar. It is different for various brokers..

It depends on broker but generally it is charged as a normal share sell order would be charged..

This is my understanding.. anyone is free to add more information about this...

If you had those in demat Ac on record date then you can, but, you will not be in retail category and general category AR is very very low, around 3 to 4 % at the most..

Yes, you can do it and all 8 shares will accepted in buyback but if you sell 52 in buyback than 8+ some shares will be accepted.

I had 70 shares but I sold 20 before the record date. Now I am eligible for 8 shares against 50 for buyback. Today I bought back the 20 shares that I had sold earlier. Now, can I tender all the 70 shares in buyback or max I can do is 50?

Dear Sir,

The maximum you could submit is "No. of Equity Shares held by you on the Record Date".

For example, if you held 5800 shares on record data and the email you recieved from "tcsl.buybackoffer@linkintime.co.in" says "Buyback Entitlement in terms of no. of Equity Shares = 55 shares".

If you submit 55 shares, you will have 100% acceptance.
If you submit all 5800 or any other number, 55 + few additional shares will be accepted (left over from few people who may not have participated in BB).

Admin@Chittorgarh is correct. If someone tenders shares equal to (or less than) his entitlement, all of them will be accepted.

Antarix last time i tendered equal to my ER they did not accept all but according to the AR of what i tendered..

E.g.

I tendered 10 which were entitled but not all were accepted just 2..

@Vimal Garodia ji, according to current rules, if the entitled number of shares are tendered, all of them have to be accepted. I am not sure when the case you described happened. Maybe it was before the current SEBI guidelines came into force ?
