I have 500 shares on record date and received the email for the same and shares entitled to tender under the buyback offer is 36 in email received from company. Anyone please let me know how many shares will be accepted in below conditions if AR is 20%
If:
1. I will apply 36 shares
2. I will apply 100 shares
3. I will apply 500 shares

@Inder, Your computation for 2) & 3) is not correct.
1) submitting only 36 will guarantee 36 acceptance
2) Submitting more than 36 will also guarantee 36 acceptance + additional quantity based on actual AR. AR decision is what need to be counted for additional share acceptance.

If you bought share before dec 23, you can go for buyback. Now the stock is overpriced and overvalued, jan 3 when Rajiv told buyback in cnbc stock price rally 400 points.

I am sure the promotors going to fill the pocket with no income tax.

Overvalued if stock corrected and reached 6600 good to buy and go for buyback. before record date FII and DII will book profit and go. We will be the looser.. So be careful on this one.
They are the great Ratan Tata sir..

SIS 2023 Buyback:

Expected ER was 10%
Actual ER published : 13.17 to 13.40

Expected AR in 2023 would be much better than that of 2021 (may be 40 to 45%)

SIS 2021 Buyback:
Actual AR was 22.25

I have never found a one share strategy worthwhile, but this one appears to be different, because of the high price of an individual share.

Wanted to ask what happens if one tenders a single share from different demat accounts?

I remember that I had TCS shares in 2 different accounts, and had got different ER and different AR after tendering.

Would be glad of a response from anyone who has done something similar in the past.

Far as I can tell, the idea is to buy one share in each demat, even if the pan for those demats is the same.
I think the ER and AR is for PAN and not for demat, so that would be pointless, no?
What is the logic behind the calculation so that the one share purchased is at the advantage over say, if purchased for maximum allowed for retail, i.e. somewhere around 2Lakhs, 20 shares in this case?

One share in different demat and diferent PAN of your family and friends, that is when it works!!

It does not work for same PAN and different demats!!
