Hello experts, could you please tell me, 'How many retail share holders are present as on current date in any company?' and 'Where to see the accurate daily buyback applied people's data?'
According to a report I have seen somewhere, the number of Retail Shareholders jumped from about 2 lacs to about 7 lacs before and after BUYBACK announcement. It is implied there are about 5 lac bought single share each for tendering. To wait and see how many shares will be accepted from this pool.

If you have shares at price of 7500 or less than it is advisable to sell it in market and gain assure return around rs.1000. because after buyback there will be high chances of price down as lakhs of single share holders will sell share
1 share strategy not worked. Got 0 entitlement email . What is ER ? 6-13 March tender date. Hope it has good AR ratio. Since I have only 1 share I will sell in open market.
@CB, entitled shares will be 0 for single share holders, but if tendered there is a good chance for acceptance. AR is guesstimated to be around 50% for single share holders.
In the TCS buyback email to me, entitled shares was 0, but when tendered they accepted it.
There are about 5 lakh small share holders with single share who bought the share after the buyback announcement just for tendering it to pocket the difference. To wait and see how many of them will be lucky

entitled for 2 shares (out of 8 I have at 3500 per share). should i buy 2 shares from open market now and tender exactly 2 shares to retain the holding after the buyback or just tender 2 shares. any opinion?

On record date the share should be there in the account So selling on 29th or on a later date looks ok. If one want to tender it then he can buy it again one day before the tender closing date.
@Vimal The shareholders on the record date become eligible to tender shares. One may sell on the next day and buy again so that they again have the same quantity in demat a day before the end of the tender offer. That way they can tender the shares and avail buyback.
