"Tata Sons holds about 266.91 crore shares in the company and it intends to tender 2.88 crore shares for the buyback, while TICL, which holds 10,23,685 shares, offered to tender 11,055 shares."
Based above news AR will be very less and seems not beneficial to pursue buyback. I will look for appreciation upto 4200 and exit all. Bought 22 today also by exiting IRCTC which trumped me again by closing higher ,😣😣😣
HGS SOLUTIONS BOARD MEETING OUTCOME : The Board has today decided to allocate a sum of approximately Rs. 1,000 crores (may be between 908 crores to 1000 crores) for the proposed buy-back. The exact quantum of buyback, price of buyback, timing of the buyback shall be decided upon completion of issue of Bonus Equity Shares and availability of Audited Financial Statement for the year ending March 31, 2022 subject to the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI Regulations.
yes 2PM was last time today to apply in this buyback from zerodha site, now its not possible. Anyways don't feel much bad, i think it will cross 600 soon so u can sell in open market and it may come 650-700 also in some months. Eclerx crossed already its buyback price of 2850 last week after 2 months of buyback.
TCS is seeking shareholder approval by way of special resolution for buyback of equity shares of the company.
TCS's remote e-voting period will commence from January 14, 2022 and end on February 12, 2022. The results of the postal ballot will be announced on February 15, 2022.
@TheLearner : it will have probably 100% Acceptance in general category since only around 9 lakhs bids are placed in general category as per below link. https://www.nseindia.com/market-data/tender-issue-information?symbol=NUCLEUS&type=Active And retail category may have around 65% acceptance.
Aaashish ji, Sometimes it happens. Past is past. Forget it. Please watch the performance of the company n sell the shares in the open market on keenly observing the price movement. Thank you.
Sandeep ji, If you have shares as on the Record Date, Registrar to the buyback will send you mail regarding the No. of shares held on the Record Date and the shares entitled for the buyback. If so, please verify the spasm of your mailbox. Some times, mail will be available in the spasm. Thank you.
Hi Everyone, I was entitled for 23 shares under buyback out of 150 i am holding. I tendered 130 and today all 130 are gone from my portfolio. My nucleus portfolio today only reflects 20 shares only. Does this mean all 130 have been bought by Nucleus which seems too far fetched & improbable to me or that 130-23 shares will be credited back to my zerodha account soon since my entitlement was only 23 shares.
If anyone can advise as to what's really going on here.
This is my very first buyback so not very sure how the process works.
@ashish: In buyback, whatever shares you are tendering, all shares will be debited from your broker account on tender end date, it doesn't mean they are accepted. Whatever will be accepted here in buyback , suppose 50-60 shares are accepted (you will come to know by 21st Jan around by mail from registrar) then remaining shares will be returned to your broker account on 21st Jan or 24th Jan around.
Sir, Acceptance Ratio will always be better than the Entitlement Ratio as some investors may not be interested to tender all/ some of the shares held on the Record Date. At the first instance, Entitled shares will be accepted out of the shares of allocation for the buyback. Then, the remaining shares will be accepted proportionately on the basis of the shares tendered for the buyback and will be added to the already accepted shares on the basis of the entitlement. The balance of shares out of the shares tendered for the buyback will be credited back to your Dmat account. Hope you got the answer for your query. Thank you.
It will take a lot of time for record date to come after postal ballot voting and results (approx more than a month for record date from now) so till then tcs share prices will have enough up down movement as per budget/nifty etc....so I feel it can be accumulated in staggered manner, means some dip can also come from current prices till record date.
@Lokes We cannot be sure what will be the case with TCS. The moment i saw this new flash from Money Control i bought what i could from available margin in hurry as if i got the news first and price will shoot like rocket😀😀😀😁 foolish me.
Please give me Federal bank view, I was to exit on 101/- but did not seeing earning release date approaching. Can I bet for 110 level? Holding 1k.
@coldburger: like you, so many retailers must have bought today, you might be agreeing to this, still you can see price appreciation was not much today , it even dipped once near to yesterday closing price. And if tcs price will reach 4200-4300 suppose during tender offer or before, then in retail category, it can even have 100% AR ratio like previous times. I had participated 2 times earlier in tcs buybacks.
And i don't have federal bank neither i track it but looking at charts, its have given good upmove in 1 month and showing strength still, so you can keep holding it till before results with some stoploss like 99.5 to protect profits and better sell before result day, since mostly when some share had very good run up before results, then even after good results, it fall normally on result day or later.
@rajkumar: For IT companies (where there is evoting for buyback approval), evoting normally starts after 15-20 days of board meeting of buyback. Evoting normally happens for around 28-30 days. Results of evoting normally comes in 2-3 days after evoting ends. Record date is usually around 10-15 days after evoting ends. Buyback tender offer period open around 20-30 days after record date and buyback period is generally around 15 days. And credit of amount usually happens after 1 week of buyback offer ends.
Yesterday, Tata Sons & Tata Investment Corporation both announced their intention to participate fully to their eligibility in buy back. Tata Sons alone account for about 9000 Cr plus. that is about 50% of buyback amount 18000 Cr.
As on the record date, the closing market value of TCS in your account should be Rs 2 lakhs or lower. You can safely buy 45/46 shares for the same.
A better tactic would be to buy a larger number of shares ... and sell the excess amount 1 day prior to the record date. There is always a spike in the share price a few days leading upto the record date. You can make a few percent extra returns on the surplus stocks.
Also, it makes more sense to buy 45 shares in each of the available family members accounts so you can participate in the BB from them all.
Thanks for the suggestion @MK. I will try to buy as much i can hope AR will be good as it is a large Buyback (did not study based on total company share). Gem like Aniket ji give fantastic view for ER/AR but for some reason we are deprived of his views in recent past. Still since 15% margin is there and company good i can buy without fear.
Waiting for Moil money to be release ..hope that happen sooner.
The stocks are debited from the Demat on T+1 day as per the rules.... But now, many brokerages have shifted to the stocks being debited on T day... HDFC sec does so... The stocks debit on the same evening of the trade.... Still 2 days earlier is better... As the person buying it for the record date will treat that as the final day to buy.... Understood your point 👍
For this Buyback, only NSE is designated exchange. So you will be able to see the details on NSE. All share tendering will happen from only one exchange and this is NSE
NSE LINK to track the status of the tendering of the shares for the buyback of NUCLEUS SOFTWARE is as furnished below: nseindia.com/market-data/tender-issue-information?symbol=NUCLEUS&type=Active 108% ( 24,47,991 shares tendered against the maximum allowable of 22,67,400 shares) upto 4:00PM of 13/01/22. Only one day is leftover. Thank you n all the best to all of you.
Just saw a news notification and bought 11 Qty. only, had bought 100 Wipro before seeing the news so less amount was available. Will buy some more to make it around 20. I expect it will reach 4500 in market also like Wipro had done.
@KSRK Sir - How much should retail purchase for best AR. Buying up to 2L I know is valid for retail (2L/4500) but wonder if having lesser share will give better AR.
@ColbBurger - Buyback ratio for small customers (upto 2 lakhs rs) remains same, i.e. preference to shareholders of 10, 20, 30, 40 upto 44 will be same.
A VERY VERY GOOD NEWS TO ALL THE BUYBACK LOVERS: The Board of Directors will consider a proposal for buyback of equity shares of the TCS Company, at its meeting to be held on January 12, 2022. The above information is also available on the website of the Company: www.tcs.com.
Sir, I suggest you to purchase 20 shares at the CMP. Then, 20 shares on declaring the Q3 results around 12th depending upon the moment of the price. The balance, around 10 days before the record date. Thank you.
@prasen bin: you can get more info on buyback from here: https://www.chittorgarh.com/article/buyback-of-shares-meaning-procedure-and-taxation/517/ https://investorzone.in/everything-about-the-buyback-you-want-to-know/
you need to buy shares upto 2 days before record date (below 2 lakh amount to be under retail category which has 15% reservation so generally more shares are accepted back by company in retail category) you will get mail from registrar after record date is over for your eligibility and shares holding on record date. you can place order from your broker site for all shares as holded on record date as per mail. In buyback mail, dates will be mentioned for tender period upto which you can tender shares in zerodha. Also read below link info in zerodha. Fir other brokers, you can call them to know how to place order for tendering shares when buyback period opens. https://support.zerodha.com/category/trading-and-markets/corporate-actions/articles/how-do-i-apply-for-buy-back
Login into keystone.upstox.com with your client code and backoffice password Click on “Account” on the top of the header line Click on “Buy Back/ Turnover” from the drop down Click on “Apply” and enter the quantity
Submit the request when the buyback date is open. Currently Nucleaus is open for tendering shares....check in your account if it is showing.
Unknwon ji, Thank you for your kind consideration to help. As I don’t have any idea regarding the Upstox, I am silent. I once again appreciate your helping attitude. Please keep it up.
IPO smart ji, On the previous occasion i.e., Dec. 2020/ Jan. 2021, the buyback price was Rs. 3000/- and the amount of the buyback was Rs. 16,000 crores whereas in the current buyback, the buyback price is Rs. 4500/- and the amount of the buyback is Rs. 18,000 crores. Hence, the current buyback is considered to be not that much attractive. AR is likely to be at least around 60% if not around 75%. For the long term also, it can be considered to be more beneficial. Thank you n all the best.
