I think the price will crash once the record date is over as other IT stocks have corrected significantly and Wipro hasn't, due to the buyback support. Also, many senior level executives have resigned recently which is a huge red flag.
Infosys is available at a lower PE which is quite rare( check history)
And the current buyback can't be compared with previous ones because sentiment is quite bad/pessimistic for IT right now( earlier it was euphoric)
Do comment on this with your counter arguments if any
I see many seeking an answer to the question " if they should tender all the shares or less as AR would certainly be less than 50-60%, like tendering half of the shares"
Tender all the shares, donot keep half, that will result in acceptance of max shares
I have hedged from the day of buyback announcement. Till date I have reduced my buying cost by about Rs. 70/- by simply selling CE. I have more quantity and hence it seemed a good idea to hedge. If you have small quantity, buying more at lower levels may be a better idea.
anyone hedging their bets(by selling TCS March futures, today it was available at around 3804, on monday i believe one might get around 3850 even because it's the last day and many will buy shares on 21)
I have Tcs in 5 demat & now I want to hedge shares that will be free after buyback. Since I have never done option selling, so I have few queries. Planning to Sell 3800CE March having premium around Rs. 125 (Margin required Rs. 1.20 lakh) Scenario 1- If on Expiry TCS remains below Rs. 3800 so the premium will be Rs. 0 on expiry. How Will I earn, Whether I need to take any trade or amount will be auto-adjusted on expiry Scenario 2- If on Expiry TCC remains between Rs. 3800-Rs. 3925, Say Rs. 3860 So I am expected to earn 65*150= Rs. 9750. What will happen If I don’t take any other trade till expiry.
HGS SOLUTIONS BOARD MEETING OUTCOME : The Board has today decided to allocate a sum of approximately Rs. 1,000 crores (may be between 908 crores to 1000 crores) for the proposed buy-back. The exact quantum of buyback, price of buyback, timing of the buyback shall be decided upon completion of issue of Bonus Equity Shares and availability of Audited Financial Statement for the year ending March 31, 2022 subject to the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI Regulations.
yes 2PM was last time today to apply in this buyback from zerodha site, now its not possible. Anyways don't feel much bad, i think it will cross 600 soon so u can sell in open market and it may come 650-700 also in some months. Eclerx crossed already its buyback price of 2850 last week after 2 months of buyback.
Aaashish ji, Sometimes it happens. Past is past. Forget it. Please watch the performance of the company n sell the shares in the open market on keenly observing the price movement. Thank you.
I don't think any benefit in entering now. it is already 180 and market is also volatile so it can drop precipitously after record date. I am staying away from this.
Those who entered at around 170 may still gain something because fundamentally stock is alright
Rohit Bhai kya vichar hai ispe ab
Kal 20% UC, Aaj bhi almost 20% UC lag gaya tha
Do you think it's at fair value now or still highly
