Dear all, I am a NRI, I have purchased 2000 Airtel RE shares from seondary market. The shares are credited in my demat account. When I try to apply rights, Bank ASBA form is asking for CAF/CNN number. I did not receive any email from Kfintech. Please advise with your thoughts.
I am not an NRI and never applied as NRI. But somewhere i read that now CAF is not mandatory, and you can enter dummy value. Below is the excerpt that i ready. "The CAF (Composite Application Form) number should no longer be required since instead of the CAF you receive the dematerialized REs directly. The bank should have removed the requirement or made it non-mandatory on their portal. You may just enter a dummy number or reference number (after confirming with your bank). The RTA will only consider the demat account details when they are processing your rights application. "
@DuckkyDuck, many thanks for your response. much appreacited. I ahve applied rights application through RBL ASBA.
However, I have received an email from Kfintech as below:
"We inform you that as a shareholder and you have purchased the RE shares from secondary market, you need to apply as a shareholder category and mention the Total number of shares apply as number of purchased shares."
My question, is there any 'shareholder category' like that? I find only 'RIC - retail investor bidding' categoty in RBL ASBA
