Unable to access the bottom line of this share. How far it declines? Huge loss for those who purchased long ago @ around Rs. 3800/-. This much down trend was not expected.
Both time and price correction happened and that's why I think worst has already been priced in Have already bought in one account(2l) at average price of 3500 and had 40 shares in another(previous buyback), waiting for more correction to buy more
@KAMMA SIVA RAMA KRISHNA Ji, I bought 20 shares @3800 earlier. As of now, the price has come down to the territory of 3350. Would you recommend any strategy to cut down the overall loss at this price? Shall we go for averaging out or some other strategy to get the buyback benefits? Thanks in advance!
Bought some more today Now in both the accounts 2lakh worth of shares Let's see where it bottoms out
@techuser Although you have asked Siva ji, I read your query and thought I will answer, it might help
If you need money urgently and there is no option, yes, go ahead and liquidate
Else, sir tight, hold the shares, nobody can predict where it will bottom out but 3350 would be an excellent price for TCS to hold(if you sell it now, you only get this price), tender your shares once the buyback opens and hold the unaccepted shares for long term, I don't think TCS can fall much from here(5-10% fall should not be alarming for a long term investor and I don't expect TCS to fall more than 10% here)
Techuser ji, I suggest you to place buy order for 10 shares @ Rs.3320/- n 10 shares @ Rs. 3310/-. If executed, well n good. Wait for a few days and purchase 10 more shares depending upon the market price. So, altogether 50 shares. Tender all the 50 shares for the buyback for optimum benefit. All the best. Thank you.
A bit disappointed with the AR of less than 20% as I have expected around 25%. Of course, our assessment may go wrong as the happenings in the share market are unpredictable.
31/748 as it was arrived at under General Category. Due to some technical difficulties, I could not sell the excess stock before the Record Date. Some times it happens. We have to continue our journey.
Emami is likely to consider the Buyback of the shares during the meeting of the Board of Directors on 03/02/2022. However, the previous buyback in 2020 was through the Open Offer. Let’s wait and see the outcome of the meeting of the Board of Directors. Thank you.
KSRK Sir I heard buyback news of Hinduja global (HGS). Any news of HGS . What is the difference between open market and tender offer?
26.4. KAMMA SIVA RAMA KRISHNA|| Link|February 5, 2022 9:19:29 AM
Prasen ji, BUYBACK of HGS shares is likely to be during the last week of this month/ first or second week of March. It’s only a presumption. No confirmation of the period of the buyback so far. In the open market mode, buyback of shares will be done through the stock exchange at the then prevailing rates. No fixed price. The period of buyback will be for a longer period. Not of any advantageous position to the investors except the probability of price increases to certain extent before or during the period of buyback. In the case of Tender route, the price will be a fixed one and the period of the buyback will be normally for two weeks only. Process will be through the Registrar of the buyback. As you will be knowing the price of the buyback, you can take a decision whether you can participate by purchasing the shares afresh duly ensuring that the shares will be credited to the Dmat account by the record date. If you go through the messages in the buyback pages, you will definitely be understanding better. Thank you.
If anyone has the particulars of the link showing the bidding particulars of the shares for buyback by the MPS LTD, it is requested to kindly share for the information of the anxious readers. Thank you.
The information sought at another site INVESTORJONE is submitted herewith for the benefit of the anxious readers : https://www.nseindia.com/market-data/tender-issue-information?symbol=MPSLTD&type=Active Thank you.
In all, bids are submitted 3.48 times. Against the quantum of 9,44,444 shares, bids are submitted to the tune of 32,86,419 shares. Hopefully looking forward for reasonably good AR. Thank you.
One can purchase the shares of S H KELKAR Co Ltd (Keva) at the CMP for tendering for buyback. Record Date is 12/11. CMP is around Rs.145/- and the price of the buyback is Rs. 210/-. You will definitely get a reasonably good profit. I hope that the ER will be around 6% and AR around 13% to 17%. Chances of much downfall in the price of unaccepted shares after the buyback are very less. Thank you.
I missed good opportunity in goldiam, I will try in this. Luckily my eclerx came above my buyback price. Hope it will stay above 2300 after unaccepted buyback shares are credited back in demat also.
Thank you very much @lokes for sharing thi s. Please tell in how many days will shares be accepted by the company and unaccepted shares will be returned within how many days after closure of issue. After record date how much time company takes to open issue .
All these details will come when actual buyback opens and buyback dates are announced, like for eclerx buyback was open from 18th oct to 1st nov for tendering shares means till 1st nov we can tender shares or till when broker allows, like zerodha usually allows 1 days before. And last date for finalization of buyback was 8th/9th nov so during 8th/9th, we will come to know about final AR and in 1-2 days money comes in bank account say 10th nov and mail also comes usually from registrar for buyback acceptance and contract note comes from broker like zerodha and unaccepted shares comes back in demat in 1-2 days say 10th/11th nov. After record date, its upon company to company, when they open the issue. In eclerx, record date was 30th sept and buyback opened on 18th oct so it may be anything between 15 to 30 days approx.
@lokes thank u very much ....You had done a great for new bies like me ...I will participate in upcoming buyback and then I will get more clarity......If after record date I buys more share of that buy back company then it will not be able to sell those additional shares untill acceptance of buy back shares ...as Shares are sold on FIFO basis ?
@have faith: there is nothing like FIFO etc. Buyback eligibility is as per shares held on record date. Like shareholder category in IPOs. After record date, you can sell existing shares, buy new shares can do anything anytime. It's just before tendering in buyback when it opens, that time whatever number of shares you want to tender in buyback, you should have those in your demat obviously that time. No matter you bought them 2 days back or those are same shares shares which you bought before record date. Simple.
Regarding cartrade, I missed to buy that day to avg and didn't do after that and yes it's becoming big headache and market also not supportive now.
IPO BULL JI, Is it worthwhile buying a stock with buy back news anymore ? Depending upon the Size of the buyback, Track record of the company, difference between the CMP and the Buyback price, sustainability of the share price during n after the period of the buyback, holding capacity of the investors during the tough time arises if any , conditions during which the buyback is operated, YES it will be worthwhile. I also agree that the prevailing conditions are not much attractive n favourable. But they will not be the same for ever. We have to be attentive, selective and watchful to grab the opportunity at an appropriate time. Please don’t be disappointed. Look forward for the better opportunities. All the best. Thank you.
Hi KAMMA SIVA RAMA KRISHNA, I am new to buybacks. till now i just particiapted in eClerx buyback only. Could you please provide some strategy on MOIL buyback? how many share do i need to buy minimum? and how many of them will be accepted? will it be profit for small retail share holders?
Sir, Moil shares can be purchased at the current market price of around Rs.176/-. Depending upon your financial position, you can purchase upto 1000 shares for each account. No conditions to purchase a particular minimum quantity. I am hopeful that not less than 50% of the shares are expected to be accepted for the buyback. Unless we believe that the deal will be a profitable one, we will not purchase n will not recommend to purchase. Please also go through all the comments of all the Buyback pages so that you can understand the topic. Thank you.

@ADMIN @TEAM Chittorgarh: Please open these buyback pages also. And going forward please open new buyback pages soon after announcement. it will help in active discussions and also it will increase more people participation or site visits by looking at these discussions who are interested in buybacks.
Though the company is a good one, the size of the buyback is not that much attractive. If available @ Rs.440/- one who can take a little bit risk, may try his luck in a small quantity. Thank you.
Sarita ji, Unless there is some problem, the shares will be credited on 12/11. The size of the buyback is very small. This aspect is also to be taken into consideration before purchasing the shares. It all depends upon the risk appetite of each individual. All the best to you.
@KAMMA SIVA RAMA KRISHNA Sir, Please tell about MOIL buyback, is it a good buyback opportunity? What could be AR/ER in MOIL. Always waiting for your guidance on buyback
Sir, Yes, a good opportunity. As the buyback size is pretty good and the difference between the CMP of Rs.174/- and the buyback price of Rs. 205/- is not that much, I think that the AR may be around 60% to 70%. All the best. Thank you.
In moil, size is big but buyback price is not attractive, very less appreciation as per today closing price and tomorrow if it will open higher then again gap between cmp and buyback price will reduce but it will have good acceptance ratio due to big size. I was already holding moil shares anyways. will decide further action as per price movements.
Today in the first phase I have purchased altogether 550 shares for our two accounts on an average price of Rs. 176.50. If pocket position improves for some or other reasons, then I will purchase some shares in the second phase. Thank you.
I think that the CMP of Rs. 950/- is a good opportunity to purchase the shares to tender for the buyback, who have sold after the record date at a good profit. Thank you.
@KAMMA SIVA RAMA KRISHNA ji - I've sold all my holdings after record date above 1100. How many shares do you suggest I buy at 950. I held 115 shares on record date, so i think buying 10 shares now should be more than enough?
Sir, It’s better to purchase the no. of shares held on record date as the CMP of Rs. 950/- is a reasonable one and the chances of drastic fall after the buyback are less. Thank you.
@niteenipo : if you dont want to take risk, then better wait for buyback offer letter to come to you. In that you will be knowing for how many shares you are entitled for sure then u can buy that much share only that time to tender in buyback. Share price going down still so no need to take risk i feel by buying now based on assumption.
One can purchase the shares of S H KELKAR Co Ltd (Keva) at the CMP for tendering for buyback. Record Date is learnt to be 12/11. CMP is around Rs.158/- and the price of the buyback is Rs. 210/-. You will definitely get a reasonably good profit. I hope that the ER will be around 6% and AR around 13% to 17%. Chances of much downfall in the price of unaccepted shares after the buyback are very less. Thank you.
It seems SHK result is bad. Is it good opportunity to enter around 147/-? As always all of us in this forum is grateful to KSRK for his valuable feedback and advise
CMP is around Rs.144/-. The reason for the downfall may be the bad results. Today I have purchased 700 shares @ around Rs.150/- I am hopeful that a reasonable profit can be earned regarding the buyback of the shares at the CMP.
Sarita ji, Great Guru ji, Aniket ji used to guide us all. For the reasons unknown, we are unfortunately missing the advantageous position of his valuable views. Only with the sole intention of benefiting the readers, I am humbly n boldly sharing my views which may probably even prove wrong, as time and again I reiterate that I am not an expert in this regard. I pray god to bless you all with the best of luck in all aspects. Thank you.
