In short, as per mail received from Hinduja today, the delay in the buyback process was due to amendments to the buyback rules. That issue settled, now the company is awaiting approval from SEBI.
Today sent a mail to the Registrar (moilbuyback@bigshareonline.com) asking them to look into this matter. Last time when I participated in NTPC buyback, amount was transferred to account on the last day of settlement of bids. So, I was expecting the same i.e. on 21 February.
Registrar replied that I should contact broker as the settlement had been done on 18th Feb itself. So, I have now raised the matter with broker i.e. Zerodha. Waiting for its response.
Shares tendered in Retail are now 1.20 crore against 50.76 lakh quota. So, AR is now 42% in retail category. Let's see what is the final number at the end of the day.
Antarix ji, I once again reiterate that all the individual investors are not exclusively Retail Investors. Individual investors include some of the investors who might have been submitted the shares worth more than Rs. 2 lakh (as on the Record Date) which may be considered under general category. I am of the opinion that the AR would be around 50%. Thank you.
@antarix: it opens one more time till next dayl 1.30pm. Check note 3 in below link. https://support.zerodha.com/category/trading-and-markets/corporate-actions/articles/how-do-i-apply-for-buy-back
I could not compile the data. KSRK Ji...can you please help in finding the current demand from retail vs availability.
