Suppose you buy 1000 share @ 218 at face value 10

After 10:1 split face becomes 1, number of shares 10,000

A 100 rs change in price is 10 lakh gain

A 100 rs dividend is 10 lakh

Now if price climbs to 5000 after split

as we take your example only supposed the price is 218 per share and you have 1000 shares, after 1 is 10 split number of shares become 10000 and price is also become 21.8rs per share ...you will only get benefitted from it if you hold the shares it's called compounding...... you are on right track just hold your winning trade more power to you
