Please do not open account at Sharekhan Franchise. When I wanted to open an account in Sharekhan company at Banglore branch they sent a trainee student to me with an application form. He was not in a position to help me filling up the form correctly. Instead he contacted his instructor to explain the details to me. His instructer who is also from Banglore, started instructing me to sign on the blank application and every thing will be taken care off by them. When I flipped the pages of the form, I realised that I must choose a nominee. I asked him that from where you would get the details of my nominee, in reply he said that is not necessary. Next day I called sharekhan's Bombay headquarter and got every thing sorted out without any problem.
