DO NOT USE - especially if you want to trade Options!
Groww is extremely unreliable and dangerous of Option Trading. This is based on my personal experience. Details below.
- on 27th June around 9:15 am I have placed an order to close my Option Trade expiring on the same day, as grow has a policy that F&O orders should be closed latest by 10 am on the day of expiry
This order was struck - was not getting executed/canceled/modified till 10:42 am, I continuously kept trying to cancel/modify the order, this trade was executed I had no opportunity to place a counter/hedge trade
- at 10:43 am when the order finally got cancelled, i tried placing another order. However as it was already 10 am the system blocked me from executing the open trade
eventually the order by placed by Groww to close the trade - they placed an order to buy the option at the price that was nearly tree time the market price and the order that I could have closed a a minimal loss and could have been hedged for a way order order ended in tremendous losses
Furthermore, the contact number provided in the Groww mobile app is invalid and the finally when I spoke to customer care executives (twoo of them on two different call) they keep telling me the following:
- there was a technical glitch that cause order getting stuck (for 1.5 hours)
- after 10:00 am I cannot execute the order.
