I dont think its fair to compare zomato with food delivering compnies world-wide.
In india, we always have someone (maa, behan, biwi,.....aur koi nahi to maid) at home who looks after regular cooking responsibity. Unlike western word, where both the sexes are working and they have to depend on outside food to eat. So, this home-delivery-food-thing is not going to penetrate as deep in India as in developed countries.
It is obvious that you don''t live in a tier-1 city and you didn''t read the numbers also. Also, from your comment it would seem like sexists are not going to apply for this IPO :D

@mark bab
Don''t have a near term view. Look at the larger picture and what will be situation after 10 years. In India also, especially in major cities both the people are working and people are generally adapting to nuclear family. This make IPO like Zomato, Burger King, etc. more lucrative.
there is nothing ''sexist'' about what he said. appears as though even these spaces are not free from plank dense woke baiting. people do cook more at home in india
People booking Online food India - 7% China - 53% America - 38%
So there is very huge opportunity for growth to see our population and working all family members in urban and semi urban areas also and people also adopting western culture day by day Be positive and Apply
Anchor investor number may be huge but remember to check how much percent of their portfolio is this Zomato.. it may be 260 anchor investors but they may be risking 1-2% only out of huge capital they have.
Dear arunArun, for clarity sake, an individual could apply one crore rupees worth of shares in each company (for example, 1 crore Rs in Zamoto, 1 crore Rs in Tatva?) IPO''s running in parallel? advance thanks for the clarification
No jokes! the NII quote of aprox 1350 Cr canbe aplied by single applcant also. in fact the upper limit for any individual in NII caterogy and in QIB categorty is the size of the issue itself!
thats why I said for any one in NII limit is approx1350 Cr.

Mr. Monster Zero Is it true.
To my knowledge Lock-in for Anchor investors is only 30 days, and my view is also supported by following news item "ET"
"India’s second largest credit card issuer SBI Cards and Payment Services tanked 15% on Monday after the 30-day lock-in for anchor investors — institutions which are offered some shares in the initial public offering — ended. Source :Last Updated: Apr 15, 2020, 11:49 AM IST"
Guys,i have an question... Does any of you guys ever applied for more than one lot and got the allotment? And should we apply for one lot or more than one lot in highly subscribed ipo? Plz reply..
In the past when the allotment was proportionate and subscription was low, I have applied multiple lots in retail and got allotment more than the stipulated lot size. But now amidst oversubscription, it is 1 lot per PAN. However if the issue is not fully subscribed, you may get more than 1 lot if applied multiple lots.
It''s not common, but it does happen on occasion. In Sona Comstar, it was possible to allocate 1 lot to everyone, and still some were left over, so people got roughly 75% of the shares they applied for, over and above 1 lot. https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo_basis_of_allotment/sona-comstar-ipo/1112/ <- This this pretty instructive, focus on the bottom left of the newspaper article.
On a lighter noteZomato me agar listing postive ho to khudse kuchh order karke manga lena aur agar negative ho to utni amount ka voucher Zomato valo ko ipo holder ko dena chaliye 😀😂

I personally believe, may be true since this share market highly comprises of Gujrati and Jain and they believe in no nonveg concept. Also some hindus those are vegeterian are not subscribing this IPO which is causing low subscription in NII section, otherwise FII is fully subscribed... Also I have seen messages floating over social media which might be the reason. Bye the way I am applying for this in full force. As I have told in Anthony waste,KIMS,Sona comstar and Gland pharma to apply . This IPO is also go ahead for me.
I don''t agree with this kind of thinking. Many Pure Veg Jains & Marwaris applied/traded in Barbeque Nation.

Zomato & Tatva Chintan Pharma both are must apply IPO. 1 out of 4 in Zomato & 1 out of 20 in Tatva may get allotment. So try your luck n apply single lot per applications in both.
Was lucky to get allotment in both Clean Science and GR Infra. Will not even bother applying for Zomato. Extremely pricey, brokerages say subscribe only 4 listing gains which means there is no long term benefit at current valuations. Swiggy is piloting Swiggy direct under pressure from restaurants. Zomato will be forced to follow this which will reduced revenues. Expect Zomato to list with at least 20% discount. This is 1 IPO I''m happy to miss applying. U see CEOs of internet companies promoting this IPO as most of them are hoping to have similar pricey issues in the future. If u want to be a part of the Zomato story, best to invest in the secondary market once it settles. I''ll be happy to buy it closer to 35.
Mathematics doesn''t work everytime in stockmarket Many other things are playing behind it. One should be ready for 10 to 20% profit or loss It''s not one-way traffic each and every time Many examples in number of ipo were some of prominent members told to avoid but doing vv well , they were not wrong but did it by mathematics purely But Market has its own thinking And Whenever their thinking synchronized with ours,we earn money otherwise loose
Even I thought 25 is good price if Market correct atleast 10-15 % I want to see Zomato share price due global issues petrol prices dollar value usa data due to increase in petrol prices impacts more zomota business alot I am avoiding this ipo I want to try luck in tatav chinta one
How many lots you applied... I haven''t got any ipo since jan

@Bernard Are you willing to write a call option at price of Rs 35 as stated by you on September 1, 2021 Please let me know call option price on the specific date. As you are very confident it will be hitting that price
Only applied 2 lots for both the IPOs in my wife''s name and mine. It''s a matter of luck although 2021 has been one of the better years for us for allotment. Keep trying is all we can do.
This IPO IS costed at more than double rate of CAFE COFFEE DAY. Will it meet same fate?

Wow what a connection. It appears you applied in Cafe Coffee? However it is called random relation and no cause Many persons who are bald have more money than people with hair. Does it mean going bald will add money to you? Think

Coffe day''s debt is more than market cap by double, zomato is a cash rich company with 12000 cr in cash post IPO.
Coffe day haspromotor holding of less than 20%, zomato promoter holding is more than 80% post IPO.
Zomato ke IPO mein itna confusion kyu create kara hua hai? Please koi to clear kare ki Zomato sirf BSE pa list hoga ya NSE par bhi? please abmin atleast aap to confusion door kar dijiye
ZOMATO GMP 15+ Heavy short covering going on.. Punters exiting since no signs of correction in market..Another record is to be written after SBI Card tomorrow..
Post-listing, expect to see a lot of short selling in the first week itself. Price may hit 40 without giving any time for retail investors to exit in time! Careful folks.

Pray. WHo is willing to shortsell to get losses. While i dont have opinion on opening price or end of day 1 price of Zomato i am very clear that at end of week 1 It will not be Rs 40 I am willing to purchase at Rs 40 knowing fully well that we are not going to see that price in one month of listing
