Hello, I have not applied for Zomato IPO but received Mail from BSE-IBBS regarding bidding with an application number (Which I have never applied). Can anyone explain or have experienced the same issue.

BharatPe CEO and Co-founder Ashneer Grover has made a Rs 150 crore personal application in the Zomato IPO, CNBC-TV18 reported.

The application to the Zomato IPO was made on July 16 via the HNI segment through Kotak Wealth Management.
Grover told CNBC-TV18 on July 16 that he is building a pool of $100 million for the Delhivery, Nykaa, and Policybazaar IPOs.
He added that he is allocating his personal savings to leverage himself using IPO financing and is looking to apply for $15 million-plus in every IPO that comes up in the tech space.
Notably, Grover is an active investor, and his portfolio includes at least 23 start-ups and two venture capital (VC) funds.

Rs. 2.09 lakh crores amount blocked in all the categories excluding anchor portion which was also subscribed 35X (more than 1 lakh crores).
FIIs applied more than Rs. 1 lakh crores (half of total portion).

I m applying 122 lot. Its seems hni subscription will b in range 30 - 33 x. If its so happend will got 4 lot..

@Lokes...No need to regret, Tatva NII may not cross 150x or may be 100x too who knows. Who expected Dodla NII will do as low as 73x (<6k cr)

First time investor on HNI category. Applied for 14 lots(14*195=2730 shares) just to cross 2L limit for the category. Since HNI category is oversubscribed by 35 times, Can someone explain how many shares do they allot?

@lokes. Thanks for sharing your experience. Lets see if i get allotment based on 34 lots applied and subscription is 35x. If i dont get, this will clear all doubt and will confirm that lower subscription allotment is purely based on lottery. If i get, it could be based on lottery or some application rejections or some employee quota used in hni.

According to me, you will 100% get .... employee leftover quota will go to each qib, hni and retail as per their quota percentage...even if that won''t help then also your chances will be 34/34.8....
Just let us know after allotment that you got or not

what is third party application ? what is the cost ?can some one explain?

Mr. Ganapati - 3rd Party application means, from your bank account if you apply for your family members or friends demat account.
There is no cost involve in this unless if your friend ask to pay some amount to use his demat account.

@kring, does employee category leftover comes to HNI category? Why not to Retail or QIB?

@snipperRaj, I said "few" shares will move from Employee category to HNI not "all". If you want pin point answers then I would suggest you to study the RHP first before bidding in any IPO. Do not rely on others. After all you are applying in HNI category so its lot of money.

Below is the copy paste from RHP regarding the under-subscription. Pls go through it and decide yourself whether you are going to get 1 lot or not.

Zomato''s employee quota is not 100% subscribe? How can we trust on such companies where their own employees can''t faith on progress?

looks like they have some lockin period of 6 months as someone commented here....and that is the main reason of not fully subscribed....
even you/we will be afraid to apply if asked we cant sell for 6 months

There are many examples IPOs got hit without employee quota fully subscribed.

I guess just like Gland Sona KIMS retailers will ignore this while QIB will gobble up and buy in tons.
