Didn't you say it will be above 18 confidently? How do you know it has limited downside? Many believe the pain is not over yet. There will be panic selling. Who would absorb heavy selling when everyone got what they wanted.

People say big banks invested. I feel they either did that out of fear or were coerced. Other banks don't want yes bank to fail because they know there will be repercussions on entire banking sector. So them investing a few hundred or thousand crores is safeguarding themselves. Other institutional investors would make bets because it is not their money. If they lose they write it off as bad investment and people have no choice because there are only limited no of them (so they again go back to them to invest)

Plz provide some rational behind the given targets. Many still remember S Chand, Equitas and recent Ujjivan SFB targets

@Eagle and @Aniket, many people blindly follow you. Don't give them false advice. If you don't know ipo and stock markets, don't post optimistic messages...

Many times I already alerted the forum. Even you people were promoting Anthony waste mgmt ipo. Luckily the ipo was scrapped, and many people did not lost their money.

Thousands time of serious retailers in market visiting this forum for ipo and other stock market queries apart from members of this forum. Some of the forum members are really EXPERT of market. मैंने भी यहाँ सीखा है। कृपया Expert लोगों का सम्मान करें

What would be the year target ?

Yes bank is traded higher than issue price with higher delivery volumes on back of Stock lending. With 75% shares locked in, rest of 25% get delivered to buyers who in turn sell again to earn money on lending. In other words, both buyers and sellers are transacting at around 12.75 with seller losing on SLBM at about 6 on price of 19 and buyers gaining 6 in relending on same price. Its an interesting scenario. So FPO price was close to market price.

In the past several targets were offered , for eg 80 in 6 months for Ujjivan Finance based on which an investor purchased 20000 shares at listing around 48 and was still holding them when it fell close to 20 in market meltdown. Precision camshaft, S chand & Co, Equitas and many more were similar cases.

Reading RHP and posting few cut and paste information does not require any brainers, but still a laudable job as not all members on this board know to read relevant sections or even have time or patience for it. However, posting fabricated computations arriving at grey market prices continuously and post repeated messages at closing time, enticing several not too well informed investors that cant decide for themselves on their own is not called for. It can induce someone's hard earned money locked into counters for years to recover invested amount. An added word of "Hear All and Act on your own" is a reminder to slip away from the blame later !

Many in the past here donned self styled expertise, recommending shares like suzlon at 15 plus levels despite knowing its losses, governance issues are staring at below 5 ! So, target can't be based on a gamble .. and all the more have to be cautious before announcing on public forum like this one. Many members on this board consider anyone offering frequent replies to their doubts and posting numbers with reasoning as experts. Well that is not the case really. Investing in market is not gambling, it is serious business. Parameters i decision making when investing 1 lot at about 15000 can't be same as investing 200000. Most often investors here are quick to pocket listing gains with little profits, they continue retain losses when share sinks hoping to recover.

Yes bank with reported 16000 cr loss in Q4 is slated for another big loss in Q1. loss is more that FPO amount.Q1 results are expected in couple of weeks. Bank stocks take long to recover in an economy with scams and NPAs. Those who invested wait till the results and decide either to retain or exit with minimal loss. Adding more at lower prices at times only adds to more loss.

Do follow real good advisors here. On this board seen some members offering good investment advise without enticing, at times asking to book losses!
