And, about checking on the website, let us say, they are not really reliable..

If the funds are blocked then there should not be any problem, most of the times..

Use UPI Lite

​@njoy UPI lite is of no use for the purpose of IPOs. With UPI Lite, you can make transactions up to Rs 500 per transaction. In a day, you can add a total of Rs 4000 to your UPI Lite account. However, note that the UPI Lite app can only hold a maximum of Rs 2000 at a time.

UPI Lite, as the name suggest is a light or scaled down version of UPI. It is not meant for heavy duty transactions..😊😊

I have a similar account like that and recently got allottment too.
But PAN is same in both ASBA Bank and Demat, that's important.

While applying keep your phone screen towards the rising sun...it works for me..

Seriously, apply from as many Acs as possible (family, friends).

Apply for BHNI..

In SME IPOs apply for as many lots as possible and more importantly, keep a attitude "fill it and forget it"..

And hope that you get picked up in a lottery of allotment..😊😊👍👍

BHNI>retail>SHNI..Generally..but not always..

​@Brahmachari Sahab There is no straight yes or no answer to that question. It depends on various factors like size of ipo, quota for various segments and subscription figures. Generally in bHNI segment successful allottees get Rs 2L worth of shares by deploying over Rs 10L, whereas retail has to be contented with Rs15K only. Preferred application for more chances of allotment and reward is bHNI, sHNI and then retail. However, one needs to be vigilant and evaluate chances ad per the issue. For example, in Vodafone Idea, retail size was massive and subscription could not be changed to oversubscription, thereby got confirmed and full Allotment. In contrast, some of sHNIs were unlucky here as could not get anything in lottery.

One more question, suppose if I apply for 10 lakhs in bhni, and someone applies 2 lakhs in shni in same ipo, and nii is oversubscribed in that ipo, then if we both get allocated it will be 2 lakhs for both of us right? Even though i applied 10 lakhs, i will get 2 lakhs only since it is oversubscribed?

​@Brahmachari Sahab Correct, in case of oversubscription in bHNI category of mainboard IPOs, bHNIs are allotted only 2L worth of shares similar to that for sHNI. Your understanding is endorsed.

​@RPM Not really, subscription and oversubscription figures may suggest so but there are just 819 super lucky bHNI applicants who will get Rs 2L worth of shares. Whereas, retail size is 40,167.
One needs strong ladyluck to be successful allotee here.

​@k l patel  hNI quota is double of sHNI, if subscription wise both appear same - amount wise there is big difference.

​@Chhote Lal i m particulary asking abt subscriptionwise only, lets take this ipo as example BHNI is 218 times and SHNI is 230 times, my quesn is why its not as bhni 400 time and shni 200 time.
or bhni 80 time and shni 210 times.
