When Many people leave applying ipo, allotment will become easier automatically.
Nothing much to do

At least for me, returns in the secondary market have been far superior to returns from IPO applications recently. With increasing awareness, more and more money will come into IPOs, and the returns will keep getting worse, in my opinion.

​@colcol return from secondary market are mostly better than IPO and I have allocated major portion in MF. I apply IPO with contigency fund. But seems many people seems using major portion of their money for IPO application.

​@harit ji. You might be 60+. Many people in this age group do not want to take risk. But anyone who is young should have higher allocation in MF.

I am 49 now, applying IPOs since 2017(age of 42)
In bull run everything is greener,no regret being in primary market with extremely good fortune to have decent amount of allotments, earlier in retail and now HNI with lower risks and tremendous gains.

Actively participating in secondary market demands high skills which i don't have.

MFs are good but ultimately proxy of secondary market though I am having some SGBs

there are no advices,just my thoughts and my risk taking ability

​@harit In my opinion its totally about risk to reward ratio...which is much higher in ipo's ...am personally made good amount of money since the last bull run phase till now...am happy with my return ...enjoying FD interest plus 7-8%....which makes it close to 15% net which is satisfying for me...
When this bull run stop ....will shift my partial money to MF and bluechip stocks....but till now 95% for ipo only...
