Anyone using hdfc for minor can please confirm if parent account is also required with minor? Or only minor account will work? Please confirm. Thanks.

This is HDFC Kids Advantage Account, where they didn't mention the age, checked with multile RMs, they said, 5-7-15 years is age restriction.

They all say different min age number, so not sure.

It says condition for getting a debit card is 3 years, so to bypass this condition, I am adding myself as joint account holder (along with being there as Guardian also), will get Debit Card for me in this Minor account, will add in UPI apps (GPay, etc).
As in Minor account, Child is primary Holder, in UPI apps, Child Name should come in Account Holder's Name and UPI IPO application should work.

Minors can't open a joint demat account.

& in UPI ID....in @hdfcbank UPI ID minor as well as guardian's name reflects(but this hdfcbank UPI ID doesn't support IPO applications yet) but in other third party apps like Paytm or bhim only guardian's name reflects but IPO applications are not considered as third party as pan card number same in both Bank & Demat accounts.

Kya wahiyat company hai linkintime, SBI and Airtel.... na koi revoke ka msg, na debit ka... it is 2:44 AM... mandate is still blocked in app... highly disappointed... not acceptable in New India, digital India... these delays and lags maybe acceptable in FIRST world countries but WON'T be tolerated in India which is leading in digital and fintech space...
