I think its equivalent to what some write "Applied". And just like we take a cue from those messages, we can do the same here. Now, whether to apply or not is up to us.

Promoter salary currently at 4.2 cr / yr, going upto 9 cr / yr in FY25 🤔 Easily the highest I've seen.

There was a big fuss here in some issue few months ago where promoter salary was going to 1.5 cr (made no difference eventually, company listed well). Good thing is biz is generating sufficient profits, but will there be a fuss this time?

​@Tejas Pandya For SME IPO, if a person is applying say 2 lots and another person is applying 10 lots. Both of them fall under HNI category. Will the chances of allotment be same for both the applicants? or person applying more number of lots has better chance of allotment. This query is only specific to SME IPO. Request you to guide please

​@Abby Person applying more number of lots has better chance of allotment mostly since there will be less applications with 10 lots compared to 2 lots. See BOA of older SME's you will get an idea on it..

I am planning to enter SME IPO market and had a few doubts. Would appreciate someone helping me out.

I am planning to take some funds out of my mutual funds to start investing in SME IPOs. I have been applying in mainboards in retail for a while now.

I am a retail investor so will buy only one lot. Will I have some chance of allotment or will it be not worth it?

Is there a different process to apply for SMEs or is it the same as mainboards? I use Zerodha to apply and Googlepay for auto-pay UPI mandates.

How much of a risk would I be taking if I enter in SME compared to mainboards?

I plan to sell on listing day for some decent gains, would that be the rights strategy?

If I only consider investing in SMEs with atleast 50% or more GMP, is that a safe bet? What percentage of GMP would be a safe bet? Yes I do understand there's so much to a IPO then GMP, fundamentals, EBITDAs, and PATs and wagerah wagerah but I don't have a lot of time to do this research and just want to enter based on GMP and reading comments from these forums. Is that a decent enough approach?

And finally is this IPO worth entering?

​@Kuchbhi Some members are regularly applying sme ipo from 4 to 5 account since 4 to 5 years, still not getting allotment because subscription is too hight compared to mainboard ipo. For example recent subscription for Hari om Atta ( HOAC ) ipo was 2000 times, which means only 1 applicant out of 2000 applicant will get allotment.

Sme ipo's are not for retail investor.

In Retail its lottery mostly, only in HNI its proportionate basis, higher amount you invest better chances of allotment.
Process of applying is same, since the amount will be lesser side in some SME's, operators can play around, you can be stuck with multiple UC or LC, you need to be carefull.
GMP can change fast, as other said. if its high, subscription also would be very high.
You can start with one or two retail applications and try out your luck, since it will be mostly over subscribed. Other option if you have any linked FD, you can use that amount to apply and try out.

​@Vimal Garodia Thank you for your input. What I meant is I plan to liquidate enough cash out of MF for a single retail IPO application and continue to rotate that amount for future IPOs. Is that a decent approach?

It is just that, he may take wrong decisions in future and I know when this market punishes someone it punishes the most brutal way possible and he will learn it very hard way. Knowing him and his family, it would not be a good situation.

See.. it's about liquid money... For example.. I need to pay installment for my home.. let's say 12lakhs in the next two months... I don't keep that money in FD .. but use it for ipo application.. in case I get one or two lottery ... That's it..But as soon as the date of payment comes I'll liquidate that amount and. Pay the builder...

And this has been pretty much the cycle I have been doing for the past 1.5 years....

Don't have lon..and got many times good lottery.

But under no condition I will liquidate mutual fund money to play with IPO. That is just not worth it.

Play with only extra surplus money.

In SME segment the Financials are very good. Sector is also very goods. Since the company's finished goods are raw material for transformer manufacturing companies and the power sector is in boom. Funds will be utilised for further expansion. Almost zero debt Company. Lets look for allotment.
