took some risk today and bought 200 shares in preopen at 337.5 since listing was below expectations....lets see how it goes after 2 days....

I think two UC is enough to exit for immediate profit booking. Delhivery big IPO listing on same day has already spoiled the listing and we need to wait cannot exit on 8% profit. Got lucky 2/2 retail and this happens!
For Delhivery the first time came to know about IPO (many months back) then i was having a feeling that it will be good pop listing and expressed same on some IPO page but after following the IPO page at forum and subscription figure stayed away and here is the pop as i had originally expected.

@Lokes,
Are you holding Eighty Jewelers and Jeena seiko . Jeena is trading however Eighty is not trading much. What is your view on these two.

@coldburger: yes my allotted 1 lot i will be selling on wednesday/thursday for sure since its from my mother demat account so i don't want to take risk there since already 70% of her campus allotment profit went into rainbow loss :)
My today's new buying here, i can't sell anyways before friday so will take decision later accordingly.
@ravu: i have sold my eighty jewellers at 44 when it started coming down, yes it has very less trading in it , i have no interest here to buy again or track....
And in jeena sikho i have sold 1 lot at 165 and still holding other allotted lot. I may wait till results here or may sell around 155-160, not sure now, its going up down.

@lockes - What should be strategy today? If it has not opened with UC so better to exit? I read more curbs by RBI coming and so expect market to be bearish in short term!

@ColdBurger: yesterday i had placed amo order at 372 for selling 1 allotted lot but its not executed so am still holding that, i will wait till today closing and tomorrow will sell that allotted lot above 350 if it comes or will hold with some stoploss around 335.....
Regarding new buying of 200 share, we can't do anything till friday so will take decision accordingly as per price that day to sell/hold etc.

I have sold my allotted 1 lot at 342 yesterday near closing time....didn't wanted to take risk of loosing whatever profit left.....

No one applied in retail and HNI and it going up and up.
This is what market is loss making company going up. Profit making down.
Divis posted amazing results, but 15% down in 2 days.

I was not allotted but bought 300 in preopen @ 337.50

@duccky.. I predicted about delhivery before that this Giant might surprised on listing despite all the negativity.. I didn't applied there because was more interested in Venus and pradeep.
@avenue... Actually you got a very good price to enter. Just above to issue price.. 2 more UC highly possible.

@duckky: in delhivery, nothing much surprising since its simply about demand supply thing during listing, as final hni/retailer subscriptions (after rejections) were so minimal there that there is no selling pressure from them, most shares are with QIB's so its upto them how and when they want to sell....if hni/retail was 1 time atleast then story would have been different.

@lokes.. It's not like that what you have said. There is no guarantee that share price wouldn't b listed down when most of the portion is in hand of Qibs. Let's take a example of Nuvoco IPO that came last year in main board. Where both hni and retail portion remain undersubscribe and Qib had big chunk of the IPO but still share listed 17% below on listing day itself and currently available at half of listing price.

its operators game in delhivery, they are traping retailers now, i am sure after 5-7 days delhivery will be below issue price

@Noorul.. I placed buy order for 300 @ 360 in the morning. Wanted to add more to order but did not get time... And no chance to buy after listing... Will add more whenever I get a chance...

@noorul: In share market, yes there is no guarantee for anything and we can't relate different companies subscriptions/listing etc exactly. I am not saying 100% its due to that reason only but this time definitely that factor played a important role. And there is lot of difference in nuvoco and delhivery subscriptions. In nuvoco, it was 0.6 times in HNI and 0.52 times in retail but in delhivery with around equal issue size, its just 0.03/0.04 means just 3% and 4% in each hni category and 0.27 times in retail and 0.1 times (10%) in employee category, so there is huge spillover from these categories to QIB. And in delhivery, QIB is already lesser than nuvoco, means mostly QIB got the allotments so its upto them about selling, they can control the price easily here.

Anyways congrats for your venus allotment and new big buying. Mostly you will be selling your original allotment of 644 shares on Thursday and will carry forward these new buying, right ?

@lokes.. That's exactly I will going to do. Will sell alloted shares on Thursday to book some profit and minimised the risk too. Most of times our thinking and action matched..
Wish Pradeep will also list with some premium.

@have faith. Hospital sector wise is not that impressive and rainbow service is limited to few states only.. the only trigger that could lift it up is the result... That's need to b excellent.. so the price will reach to its issue price atleast.
However I already booked loss in it and moved on.

@dinesh: yes we know you apply in most of the ipos, where even all other hesitates :) :) And overall i think you are able to gain, with some profits in many and losses in some. Congrats for the profit in delhivery.
@noorul: yes we can just hope for some listing gains in paradeep. There every retailer and hni will be allotted full so lets see how it goes. lets hope markets will be positive on listing day and retailers/hni won't create much selling pressure.

@bhav: there is nothing like trick here, be aware about t2t IPOs properly, it's not so easy to buy in preopen and then sell after 2-3 UC. Hope you have seen my below post and know when we can sell t2t ipo if we buy on listing day. And from third day, they hit LC many times, so people get stuck like in sigachi , uma export, even hariom pipes and some may not hit LC like hp adhesive, veranda etc. Let's see what happens this time.

@bhav: you can just check first page all posts and reply comments here in uma export page, you will see many were stuck after it has hit continuous LC and then no one will come to rescue/reply and see uma last 2 months chart now.

I am not saying that in venus also it will happen, here i have also bought today anyways but i am just informing you that, that is also a probability which can happen in t2t ipos after listing, so that everyone can also be aware before taking decision, even in sigachi so many people were stuck after listing.

Inly one thing is good in venus that it is listed only 10 rs up than ipo price (so risk is less if mkt is stable)

@krupa: in sigachi also, it was UC first 2 days, then it started LC. And in uma export also it was listed near to issue price then 2-3 UC then again LC, that didn't listed 2-3 times like sigachi. In hariom pipes too, it has hit multiple LC after some days.
In venus, yes risk is less since company is better and listing was not so high, that's why only i also bought here in preopen.

My point was to inform all the sides of t2t ipos, else later people will keep asking what to do and should we sell/hold and no one will come to reply then, as can be checked in uma export page.

@bhav, lokes and kurpa. It's true that many time people got stuck in t2t script after hitting 2 UC , share started hitting non stop Lc till it's true price discover.. The point is one should not blindly purchase t2t stock in preopen. One should considered about its valuation, future prospects of company, debt and other important parameters. There is no sense to bought any t2t script on listing if it's listed 2 or 3 times of issue price.

For example in Uma export I didn't bought any share in open. Infact I sold half holding at 92rs and rest when circuit opened near 74. I wasn't so impress with the company so took an exit.
In Hari om pipe it's listed well above issue price so didn't bought anything. Sigachi is a gud example that how t2t script can destroy your money. I was alloted in sigachi.. @lokes might b confussed here.. but I m sure sigachi started hitting lower circuit from next day only after listed at 700rs and those who purchased it on listing day burned there hard earned money and stuck badly. So ultimately it's all depends on circumstances...
I will sell my alloted shares of venus probably tomorrow or day after to minimise the risk.. don't want to b greedy here.

@Trueinfo. I m not guiding anyone here.. I just share my strategy to our group members so they can also give there valuable input on it.

I already said ones that I m still a learner and there are many more individual here who are better fundamental analyst and having far better knowledge than me.. like mog, jethalal, Ashok sarkar and many others.

I usually go with my intuition and gut feeling.. hardly read RHP.. I just judge the IPO from my own set of Parameters that have no logic behind. I will b much happy if nobody follow me here... Don't want anybody to loose his or her money because of my call.

regarding what i am confused? my post was general to aware people, not for you and i know you were allotted in sigachi and you were also stuck there in LC and sigachi listed around 570 not 700 etc....

Anyways i was hoping that venus will hit upper circuit today at least but it didn't....but it will also be more better if it can trade normally above issue price without hitting UC/LC....

I added 46 more @ 338.30.. Now I have 346 shares, almost 50% of sHNI minimum size of 14 lots at a small premium of 3-4%. Yes it is T2 and it can still go either way...

@lokes and kurpa.. I checked .. you both were right. Sigachi started hitting lower circuit after 2Uc and I exited at 500rs... At a time or circuit opened. You both hve a sharp memory ...and even I don't remember that desire of selling it near around 700rs.. :) I guess you both hve eaten lots of almond :p
Anyways as I said.. I sold today my alloted shares of venus.. actually whole metal sector is under pressure.. becaz of changes in tax structure.. now Friday is a crucial day for venus.

Even sometimes I forget my present holding of IPOs.. and need to check it to confirm..
I guess only this 2 can reveal the secret of there sharp memory.

When Sigachi is mentioned it just reopens some old wounds from last year. Did not get allotment, had FOMO and bought during listing days (still holding)

Sometime it's better to control over greed

So it is corrected heavily
In venus all people buy near issue price so chances of going dow are very less( but mkt me abhi to correction dikh raha he)

Nifty may going down 600/700 point from current level

Sigachi was amazing allotment i sold it at UC first day

Now this venus pipes has hit LC, day before when new buyers can sell, without rising enough initially like others atleast hit 2-3 UC before started falling. Market conditions has impacted here more.
@bhav: hope you got my point now.
@ultrasnow: Don't buy so much amount in any share in first buy and don't average too early, also have some stoplosses if share is not performing as expected and booking loss is better then kept on holding.
@avenue also averaged this venus pipes too early.

@Noorul, What's your strategy on Venus? Are you planning to hold for long term or do some averaging on further correction. Even i am stuck now after buying this in preopen, didn't realize i can't do BTST in these kind of stocks.

I knew many might be stuck here also due to current market sentiments, so i already informed. Same like in uma exports, people are still waiting.

@bhav: Even in normal market conditions, t2t shares normally hit LC after 2 days initial UC but here it didn't performed initially also because of markets/fear.

@nikhil. I sold alloted shares yesterday and not too worried about purchased shares ... Becaz of limited free float and company is also excellent in all parameters... Ones the market bounce back we will surely get a chance to exit.

Venus will hit UC after 2.30 pm

After 2:30. LC lag gai.
