There are other things to consider (atleast from long term perspective) for this IPO:
1. The government in all likelihood is going to impose demerit taxes on sugar drinks including carbonated drinks as part of the GST roll out. The rate might be as high as 40%. Coke had warned that this would lead to a reduction in overall demand and they will have to shut some factories. Not sure if this was so that government backs off or if was the reality 2. I am very skeptical of companies turning profitable a year or 2 before IPO. More often than not they have manipulated their books. So I will be extra careful before I apply.
This is neither a recommendation to apply nor to avoid. This is just to make sure we have a healthy debate. I have not yet decided on what i will do as I need to investigate a little more.
At 445 it gives it a MC 8500 Cr 19 million plus outstanding shares post IPO which give it PE below 26 on NP of 325 Cr if get more conservative Nidhike analysis i get a PE of 28 annualised which IMO is fair price it will list at 500-550 given world class FMCG product with same kind of bottling unit in china are avaaible at 50 plus PE however much more big in size and also logistic issue. With GST Varun will benefit a lot also So this IPO is reasonably price with good growth world class product
I get a Fair price of 498 SO I AM GOING TO APPLY FOR THIS IPO
GUPA I GUESS U WILL NOW CHANGE UR VIEW ON VARUN FROM AVOID AVOID AVOID TO APPLY APPLY APPLY

H1 profit as per RHP 209 cr (H1 is 2/3rd of yearly sales) H2 profit expected around 90-100 cr ( considering interest saving but lower sales n margin)
Thus yearly profit should be around 300 cr as Septa mentioned in above post ( septa calculation a bit bullish around 325cr :)
