QIB jumped to 7.58 at 1312.

What's your take on this IPO? Apply or Avoid?

If QIB is less than 20 then i will think to withdrawal of application.
Their will is risk of flat to negative listing.
Let's hope QIB will cross 30

Gain is only made when there is demand and fancy for that stock as far as IPO is concerned. LIC was also fundamentally good. There are some exceptions though but the application becomes risky.

U are trying to compare apples and oranges. LIC and these businesses are not related to each other at all. LIC is govt company where as Uniparts is a private company. Its ROE, ROCE, OPM, NPM is very good compared to its peers.

I can give u a recent example.

Bikaji was heavily subscribed but Medanta was not fancied enough and was having less demand than Bikaji.
Bikaji listed with 10% premium whereas Medanta listed with 18% premium and ended the day with 25% premium with sure shot allotment.
So the profit made by Medanta is way higher than Bikaji. So fundamentals are equally important if not more than subscription figures

Paytm, Zomato, Nykaa, Policybazaar were also fancied stocks and see where they are trading at. So sooner or later fundamentals of the company and growth prospects will prevail.

GMP should shoot up after 4:00PM.
Looks like biggies don't want too much hype!
Very similar pattern as MEDANTA.
The GMP of MEDANTA also fell down drastically. And then most of the retailers didn't even apply. And everyone knows how was the listing.
Risk:Reward ratio is always favorable. So don't worry and just APPLY!

Short & Quick opinion
Plus point - fairly valuation
Minus point - OFS
Market condition - good
So ideally it should pass through with some listing gains atleast

But if QIBs don't subscribe heavily, then there is something what they knows and we don't.

I will wait for QIB numbers atleast going to 15-20x
