I have a doubt ,those who apply using huf please help me out. 1.Which broker is good for opening huf ac? &Do they accept online submission of documents
I am planning to open an huf account with zerodha. He is asking for offline document submission. Does anyone have huf account in zerodha if yes, is it same as using a individual account using kite or huf in zerodha would be different like only offline trading.
Great dude , i didn''t know we can apply through Edelweiss as a guest unnecessarily opened account in zerodha. read this message ,very much needed for people who want to apply using upi.next time I will try since I have applied this time
It also shows bse sme ,is it possible to apply bse sme? @gj. If so then Edelweiss is the best for retailers

Hey GJ. Thanks. Good way to apply. But this wont work for HNI asba application and retail upi app anyway is lottery. And i dont think hni application works with upi.
Yes, agreed, Retail UPI is lottery in most of the IPOs, mainline or SME, doesn''t matter much.
I am not sure about HNI with UPI thing, probably it shouldn''t work as HNI application is always more than 2 lacs and I think there we have this UPI limit coming into picture.
Anyways HNIs are more serious kind of investors so they don''t wait till their broker/bank cut off time to pass first then look for solutions. Generally retailers are the ones doing these mistakes.
Yeah I have a demat AC with all four accounts but with upstoxx and out of which one a/c was linked with dbs bank ac which doesn''t have asba .so i opened another demat account with zerodha to apply using UPI.

@IpoRetailer Glad, I could be of some help. Welcome 😊.
If I got allotment of timescan ipo.....i can sell on listing days as like mainboard ipo....this share will show in my trading account on listting day...
Brokers like groww, etc not allowing to trade in SME IPOS. If u apply using there DP id you will be stuck. check with your broker before applying

@manish jack: it depends on your broker. which is your broker? anyone here can can give you information, if they are using same broker as you.
As u can see here in other posts that angel broking also has issues and so many rules to sell sme shares so apply in sme only as per your broker, means if they are allowing trading in sme properly. In zerodha, its allowed same like mainboard ipos, no issues.
finvasia is lethargic sometimes in showing the allotted SME shares in your account. i passed on the feedback to them couple of times. When i got prevest, it didnt showed in my ac on the day of listing but was credited in cdsl.

Dear Manish, Yes if you get allotment you can sell on listing day. The shares should be credited minimum a day prior in your account. It will surely reflect in your demat if you get allotment.

@ipo bhakt: you will be allotted 1 lot here, don''t worry...with such big number there won''t be much applicants (may be 2 or 3 max including you) and all will be allotted upto 6 applicants total.

@lokes. what you think about 100 lots?....chances are 100/141.38= 70.75% . It doesnt fall above 75%..so no confirm allotment?

@snipperRaj : it simply depends on how many applicants are there who applied for 100 lots. Use that 0.5 logic here. 1 applicant -> 0.7 so allotted 1 lot 2 applicant -> 1.4 so 1 person will be allotted 1 lot 3 applicant -> 2.1 so 2 will be allotted 1 lot each 4 applicant -> 2.8 so 3 will be allotted 1 lot each 5 applicant -> 3.53 so 4 will be allotted 1 lot each 6 applicant -> 4.2 so 4 will be allotted 1 lot each and so on..... For more info, you can read comment number 47 and 57 from this below thread if not already read : https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo/ipo_discussions.asp?a=1178&c=468061&ap=0

Thanks lokes. so formula of allotment probability is -> (round off of (applied lots/HNI subs)*no of applicants.)/no of applicants.
I have Angel broking account and got one SME IPO. I did not sell it. But after reading your message I tried to go to account and sell but it''s seem sell option is not available. Any one have angel broking account ? It should be straight sell option.
Is it same for zerodha too??? Or in zerodha can we sell sme ipo shares just like mainboard ipo?? Please reply

@rohit: yes in zerodha, sme ipo shares can be sold same like mainboard ipos. No issues there. Only thing is we can''t sell same day if we are buying after listing.
I asked the same in Angel Customer Care. They say the Process of selling is no different. I have not got allotted any SME Ipos yet. Need others'' replies on it.

KDforipo: no idea about angel broking. Anyone can call and check simply and can post here like @Sarita S can call if u r outside inda. Or anyone who have angel broking account and applying in sme ipos can reply here. @erarunsingla : power of atorny form is for sell without cdsl authentication, that needed in zerodha too else we can simply enter cdsl pin while selling shares. That has no role in selling sme ipo shares. That is same for mainboard ipos too.
@lokes I tried to sell nupur lot but was not able to sell. It was giving RMS Rule rejection error while selling. I called up angel broking customer care they told me its a penny stock and u need to send Power of Attorney form to somewhr hyderabad address.

@erarunsingla : ok it might be for something else then, no idea how they are differentiating with sme and asking POA form etc. Normally with every cdsl broker that POA is needed for avoiding cdsl authorization while placing sell order. In zerodha, its same for sme and mainboard atleast. @KDForIPO : No idea yar how they are replying like this to you, and something else to @erarunsingla and @Bhumika. Three people and three different reply :) Maybe someone who is holding angel broking demat and trading in sme ipo can only give proper information here.

Angel is a chore theif company, high hidden charges, pathetic service
@Lokes, true. they give all three different replied.
I am confused now. I will again generate second query today. Lets see if its assign to someone else what they reply.
@Loks, One question for you. Is it possible to move Angel broking to ICICI direct from outside india. I am in USA. and not planning to come india for at least a year.
Dealing in SME Series scrips traded on BSE / NSE with “SM” & “M” series group Scrips listed in the SME segment will be restricted for trading on our trading platforms – These series having huge lot sizes & have low liquidity. Eventually these have miniscule participation in terms of volume at the exchange. In order to avoid manipulations or erroneous trading, this category is restricted for Trading.
The trades would be executed ONLY through centralised dealing desk at CSO Dealing Department. Please note important points w.r.t. SME scrips trading
No fresh purchases would be feasible Selling of existing holdings allowed if these shares were allotted through IPO credits in the Angel DP / DP mapped to Angel Selling in this scrip would be allowed to the tune of Rs. 3 lakhs only once in a financial year perscrip Trade will be placed subject to liquid ity / volume in the market and looking at the tradepattern.
@anantagg... Your Merchant Banker was wrong for VIVO IPO in saying "Who so ever has applied for less than 2.6crs in HNI will not get allotment". I applied for 50 lots and got 1 lot. Time to change your Merchant Banker.

@avenue: they are big guys and applying with quantity so always getting allotments, they need not to check such things so they believe whatever merchant banker etc tells. But anyways we know already all these things very well, like we know 2+2 is 4 so no need to prove such things to big guys atleast :) i thought to reply in your earlier post in vivo that u needed only 2 more co-applicants to get 1 lot in lottery in vivo, dont need even 6 people, because u know our 0.5 logic but then i didn''t replied there. People Just need to cross 0.5 atleast to be part of lottery. Btw you were 1 single lucky people out of 5 people in lottery who got allotment in vivo and @noorul was 1 single lucky person out of 12 people in lottery for his vivo allotment. Me and @suneel were not part of lottery even in vivo.
@Lokes, I was quiet OK with Vivo as I had only 15% chances.
With Nupur, applied 30 lots with 53X subscription, quiet surprised, sometimes luck matters so much and feels better to go with secondary market.
Now, in Timescan, looks 100X subscription, with applying 49 lots, looks tough chance...

@suneel: as i explained above , that is wrong thinking with everyone. We need to be just above 0.5 in such cases so in vivo we just needed to cross 140 total (since subscription was around 280 in HNI) for your 37 lots only total 4 applicants were needed minimum (37*4 to cross 140) but there were 3 so there was no lucky draw and no one was alloted. Out of those 3, one was me also, one you and only one more, i thought that 2 more would join us so that 1 out of 4 would be getting, atleast we would be part of lucky draw then.
@Lokes, Now I understood, OMG, what a coincidence that we both applied 37 Lots and one more only applied in this IPO? Wow..what a luck?
How many you applied in Timescan? I applied 49....hope atleast I will get into lottery....

@suneel: its not co-incidence, i have seen your comment that you applied 37 lots then i also applied 37 lots in vivo thinking 2 more people might be there with us since we 2 are already there but bad luck that only 1 more was there with 37 lots. I have applied 35 lots here. I don''t have much funds :) ya i have seen u applied 49 lots....i keep checking ;)
@Lokes, That''s good, you applied with good logic, but luck has dominated logic.
I think in Timescan, you have more chances, as there will be definitely one more person who applied 35 lots. Looks, I may be again washed out as unique person with 49 lots. Thought a lot between 49 and 50 lots, and went with 49lots thinking subscription will be <100X.
Honestly, today I clearly understood why you always keep telling to apply round lots if over subscription will be very high.
Any friend with 49 lots, similar to how Avenue is looking for 55 lots🙂🙂

i hope final subscription (after any rejection or anything) here in HNI are upto 140X else with 35 lots, 1 companion may not be enough for lottery to happen :( Lets see....good luck to all of us :)
hey @lokes by 0.5 do you mean that to be a part of lottery at any particular bid there should be enough bidders such that the total lots they bid for is more than atleast 50% of total subscription in nii category and if the total lots bid for is less than 50% of the subscription then you will not be a part of the lottery?

@the whale: ya you are right. it can devite very little sometime like 0.51 etc but normally its 0.5 always in mainboard and sme ipos. For more info, you can read comment number 47 and 57 from this below thread: https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo/ipo_discussions.asp?a=1178&c=468061&ap=0
Whats with this unique number of lots application? for Nupur on @Lokes suggestion I applied 43 lots and got one. 1st any stock I have not sold on the day of listing. Now totally confused when to sell it.
@Lokes, thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have read your 0.5 theory ( Including 1.47comment). Just to confirm that I understood it correctly. Please tell if I am correct?
If HNI Subscription = 100 1) If applying with lots less than 50. Then try to go with round number so that I could participate in lottery. Else if I am the only one then gets disqualified 2) If applying with lots more than 50. Then try with Odd numbers so that I am the only alone to get confirmed allotment or with min other application so I get more probability of getting the allotment.
Thanks in advance Sir.

@rockybhai: yes your understanding is correct. Only thing is in mainboard ipos, below 50 lots, very tough to be single applicant for any no. of lots and it depends on total subscription also, obviously when subscription is more then there will be more people at each lot size etc. and in sme ipos also, it depends on subscription etc for no. of applicants for each lot size. To get an idea, of how many applicants at any lot size, this vivo BOA document can be checked for NII allotment. https://www.chittorgarh.com/ipo_basis_of_allotment/vivo-collaboration-ipo/1204/
Anyways since from last some months it has been discussed many times and many people know these things so many may be applying odd lots too so odd will not be really odd now :) still india has so many applicants outside this forum too. Anyways luck always plays the most important factor.
@Loks, I am still holding "Markolines Traffic Controls Limited IPO". I saw your comment on that post. Do you think in a year it will run ?

@KDForIPO : i have already sold that with around 12K loss long back, i mentioned in other forum. i am not tracking that after that. I was not convinced with the movement in that. No idea where it will go in future. Regarding your angel broking to icici direct movement query, i don''t know about that, you can ask them in mails etc. I have account only in zerodha.
