Long term guys should hold off, in case of a market correction (a severe one, most likely within an year), you will get these kind of companies at half price.
From a immediate GMP standpoint, keeping in mind the low probability of subscription, and the premium thereafter this is not worth applying.
Can somebody please help me on IPO Application sale method. many people are posting msg that application is selling price in different cities are 900,1000, and many more rates. But Suppose you have sale your application in 1000 rs and got allotment for particular shares and if there 50 shares allotted and price is high around 100 rs from ipo price so profit would be around 50*100=5000. but you will earn only 1000 as you have sold you dmat or application to other but my question is that short term capital gain is 15% on profit so 5000*15= 750 and you have sold your application 1000 so actually it is 250 rs of profit only. so somebody please through some light if I am wrong or there is other way round.
IF you are holding X Y Z Share and X is profit you sold and you are in 30 % tax bracket and so have to pay tax @ 30% , so sell the share Y and OR Z which is in loss , and then buy again next day if you feel the share is good buy , go on doing , loss can be carried forward , for next 5 years , so set of next years profit with loss of last financial year till you have all profit shares
can someone advise on below points . it may help to others .
suppose " A " investing in ipo''s . he / she don''t have the income and borrowing the money from " B " .
if A earning less than 2.5 lakh in particular financial year from stock or IPO . whether "A" should be pay the income tax ? . as per the norms if income is below 2.5k lakh . those people will not fall under income tax bracket . please advise .
Income should be shown in ITR under head of short term capital gains from. Sale of shares and the profit will taxable @ 15% if you ate under tax slab of 5% means your total. Income under 5 lac. Here one. More thing to know if you invest amount to get deduction under section 80c then you will. Also eligible to get deduction on STCG under some circumstances.
@kuntal patil... No need to pay tax if taxable income below 2.5 lakhs... If taxable income is there (above 2.5 Lacs) Short term capital gains will be taxed at 15% + 3% cess... Suppose if taxable income is 2 lakhs and you have made 1 lakh profit in capital gains, you can adjust 50k to your income which won''t be taxable but for the rest 50k you have to pay 15% STCG +3%cess
