I live in a big family and clan and kinship ties are very strong in my family and in my caste and I share my profit with them..I can even make 50 accounts if I want but then I don''t want that much headache right now.. will see about that in future.

I am planning to (operate) apply via 3rd party ASBA (AXIS Bank) for 3 ~ 5 of my friends and relative
They have their DEMAT account (linked to their PAN)
In case they are lucky and the IPO application goes through (shares are allotted :) via a lottery system in oversubscribed IPOs), what are your suggestions on following process flow:
1) on listing day, I log into their DEMAT account and book a sale order
2) the sale amount gets credited to their DEMAT, which subsequently transferred to their bank account
3) The amount is then transferred back to my Bank account (after retaining their profit share) - ## what should be an appropriate profit sharing ratio

Hope my above understanding is correct

I am a novice in the stock market and following this site for the past couple of months and this has definitely enriched my knowledge

I am thankful to the entire community (which has immense knowledge) and they also show their readiness to share it fully with the masses

@New to IPO. You can trade and invest from all three above mentioned brokers.. but when it comes to applying IPOs, you can only apply one application per pan card otherwise your application will be rejected if you apply from different brokers using only one pan card.
@unknown.. i have 9 zerodha accounts, 7 groww accounts and 4 upstox accounts. Groww doesn''t charge AMC so if you''re in stock market only for IPOs then groww is good else Zerodha and upstox are better for long term investing as well as trading.
@ Mahsam.. yes your understanding is correct. That''s how it works. In my case, i share 20 to 30 percent profit with my relatives..and they are more than happy with this arrangement..

Revised my application from 501 lots to 513 Lots.
Now final application status is 513, 40, 30 and 1 Lot

But seeing subscription I see money money money... every where. Who said India is poor.

Finally! 187 lots in after all the hooplah :) Gone with odd no under <50% times HNI just to understand this scenario and try luck:)

Many HNIs have decided to move there HNI applications from Tega to AR now.
I will apply only in Retails in AR but bill follow you all.

Subscribed 327 lots to stay unique and get 50% chance of allocation assuming the overall subscription will not cross 650x. Thanks @lokes for all the education.

Reserving something for Anand Rathi. I have benefited more from moderately subscribed IPOs like Nykaa and Gocolors than the heavily subscribed ones like Paras, Latent. Even 20 to 25% of listing gain from Anand Rathi will give more benefits than Tega in my opinion.

Its Friday just came from prayer and shocked to see the number.. both of my application went down in lottery.

Mravi , lokes n avenue or others u should had start 2nd hni part after 60 or 70 comments.. i was not here dat time otherwise would had done that.. 1st part become to lengthy now to read the comments..
Let the nbfc doing this kind of disaster for possible 3 or 4 more months after 31st march.. things will not b same.

@noorul: ya its becoming too much subscription these days in some of ipos. Atleast gocolors was fine in subscription and given good returns too. All the best to you for at least 1 lot allotment especially in 387 lots.

GMP is now 370 and creating panic in HNI (with funding).GPT TRAPED BY nbfc

revised my mid from 653 lots to 851 lots..hope to get around around 45 shares..icici
allows to revise application after 3 PM..I did it at 3:20 PM.

1. 301 lots applied in HNI category
or
2. 13 lots applied in retail category

If anyone has a methodology to get this probability, please share like quota per category, subcriptions per category. will be helpful to decide in the next IPOs

@nithin : in my opinion in first case probability for allotment would be from range 1/3 to 1/7 (though this is just my educated guess..actual figure can differ in case if less or more people have applied the same range..range or brackets will be decided by ipo administrators or by some random computer generated algorithm)
but in second case probability would be in range of 1/20 to 1/25 (cause retail subscription is around 30x and lottery system would get executed so all different bidders would have same chance to get any lot..that too only single lot)

I moved from Retail to HNI category after seeing the huge number of retail applications, especially as many capable applicants could apply with 20-30 applications. But now even HNI is no different . No matter how good a company is, such figures don''t look realistic. I hope new rule bring back normalcy soon. (Has any date been confirmed by SEBI?) Listing of Tega will be interesting...

I think answering any simple question here again will give rise to many follow-up queries which all been answered many time earlier.

666.19 Lots * Rs 14,949 per lot = ~1 Cr

1 lot confirm allotment for the investment of Rs 1 Cr.

If GMP holds,
HNI investors who applied for Rs 1 Cr will get a profit of Rs 15K (0.15%).

@8% interest rate, 7 days HNI interest cost itself is 0.16%.

@ mrv... We learn from our experience. I did the same mistake in GoFashion. My second HNI application was for 100 lots and expecting a final HNI fig of 190-200, I revised by bid to 101 lots. But HNI was subscribed 262x. While trying to become smart I became unique and hence might have been the reason for no allotment against 101 lot application. Never mind.. India is a big country and you will still find companion @ 327.

@jigi: yes we will apply in anand rathi ipo in HNI. Remaining lets see on 6th, we will discuss, there are some other ipos also coming nearby so will decide accordingly. But i will definitely apply in anand rathi from all retail applications, if not in HNI, so anand rathi is not a miss from me.

1) I am following your method and always applying for odd lots (mine is always above 100% range and in sometimes slightly below 100%) with the aim of getting proportionate allotment and in case of shortfall by few lots against final subscribed figure, then your odd lot theory for above 50% range is helping me by getting one lot. In this IPO, I have applied for 664 lots against final subscription figure of 666.19 times and hoping to get one lot.
2) In almost all heavily subscribed IPOs, I have got proportionate allotment. In case of Latent also, I got one lot for my odd lot of 664 against the subscribed figure of 850.66 times, proving your analysis.

@Noorul - Yes, good suggestion and well received. Will bear that in mind going forward and noticed this as a new and welcome development on the HNI thread starting today and from this IPO.

However, today was a super crazy day and just about had enough time to make my application before the 2 pm cutoff and just didn''t have the time to check the forum earlier during the day! And guess that this will happen for a lot of other folks too...so perhaps, if possible, we could initiate this discussion a bit earlier rather than the afternoon of the closing day of the IPO.

@Neo.. actualy these days Hnis here r taking a final decision on no of lots to apply on a basic of estimated final subscription figure .. dat can b judge only after 1.30 pm.. everyone take there final call according to the cut off time of there respectively bank . I guess u r well aware of that even odd formula .. in terms of lots to apply. Application size 50% > total subscription than apply in odds otherwise in even no..
And i m not concern with ur second statement .. what u told to admin.. regarding proportions of self funded hnis.. I think or i m sure its overall subscription number that matter .. in this ipo its 666.. and whatever the proportion of self funded.. nbfc funded hnis hve to bear loss in this deal.. becaz hni cost if yard above the gmp.

Yes @Noorul - That post from @Lokes was legendary and super helpful and its etched in memory! As for final call regarding subscription, since I invest more for the long term so my call regarding investment is taken much in advance and application is made at the last minute just to avoid any nasty surprises and also to decide # of lots to apply based on estimate of oversubscription. For example, in Tega, I would have applied 400 lots based on Lokes'' formula if I felt it would be more than 800x but I felt at about 1:45 pm that it would be more like 700x so went with odd lot. So my play range was 400 - 406x and this if we can conclude a little in advance, then it might be super helpful. But I understand, that it won''t always be possible.

As for my response to the Admin, normally such high subscription when the GMP is not commensurately high spells trouble for funded HNI''s as we saw in some of recent issues and other members and I had commented about it too but in this issue my instinct suggests that either the listing price / GMP will catch up or the self-funded HNI''s have come forward in greater numbers. But maybe I''m wrong and its another instance of funded HNI''s having shot themselves in the foot and not having learnt their lessons...but somehow for Tega with the backdrop of what happened in Star Health yday where loss for HNI/Retail/QIB is certain, I find it hard to imagine that NBFC''s and HNI''s would have made a poor decision (again and within a day) because nothing else explains why anyone would consciously make an application if a loss is imminent as there is also the opportunity to invest instead in AR to make some money if not a lot of money. But MARKET IS BOSS so let''s see!

MapmyIndia IPO opens Dec 09 and close on Dec 13, 2021.The company is raising Rs 1200 crores via IPO. It''s a complete OFS but will command good GMP owing to the niche sector it belongs. The retail quota is 35% with QIB 50% and HNI 15%.

For those whose banks release funds fast, is rotating Tega into RTT into Metro an option? Or Tega into Mappy is the preferred option?

@neolongus Even i''m looking at metro and mapmy out of the confirmed 4 ipos. I feel 1 or 2 other ipos may also announce the same dates which may take the total to 6. It''s going to be very confusing for hnis. Metro and mapmy is better placed in terms of fundamentals than the other 2 ipos.

@neolongus: as you can see the dates, so there is no option for RTT money to use in metro for any bank, its one day extra, even results wont even come you know by afternoon.

How to check the final application lot numbers accepted for bid?

I initially applied for 501 lots and revised by bid to 513 lots in last minutes. My order book says both bids as Executed - one Original and second Revision.

I am sure that revised bid for 513 lots got through, I just want to know the process / link to verify finally accepted application...

I m in wait and watch mode.

@neolongus Looks like your bid for 406 lots wasn''t unique. Next time try uncommon odd numbers for a better chance.

Sharing the lot size by all the HNIs turned out to be mutually beneficial as it prevented overlapping and common bids.

Yes IT department do track profits earned through IPOs and Daily Stock Market as PAN Card is taken into consideration in these transactions. First of all we have to declare profits ourselves and if we don’t there might be a query after we file our ITR. So what I do is I transfer 30% of my earned profit through stocks either into PPF or a tax saver mutual fund. By doing this you are redirecting your profits into some more profit and also you are saving tax.
