Allotment ratio would be 9:1 as application at cut off price is 8.6 n not 10 something as shown on Chittorgarh. Very difficult to get allotment under any category.
As per my calculation TSL money will be not released by 10th Feb, 2016 (Quick Heal ipo last day). PCL last day 29th Jan, 2016 Friday. Fifth business day is 11th February, 2016 Thursday. Please arrange your funds accordingly.

I strongly advise you''ll to opt for ICICI Direct.com. Online portal for trading and applying for IPO. Absolutely fabulous site for trading and IPO. Only negative is Pricing when it comes to Trading. For IPO''s, pricing will come into play only while selling. But surely superior product offering.

SBI had no problem and I had feeling to be the most convenient applying for IPO via SBI netbanking. I myself had applied around 2-2.30 pm on last day via SBI netbanking.
I also noticed while deleting a IPO application earlier, the Lien amount was instantly released. Yes, if one had applied for an IPO, then in that case the amount is blocked (Lien) and is released only after non-allotment case.
Hello All, I have applied in Teamlease IPO. I applied through my ICICI bank account. I given my ICICI bank account number in ASBA field in the application form. My question is will it reflect in my bank account statement or do it display in transaction history? In simple word how it reflect in my bank account.
In case you got the allotment then it will shows as "EBA/PUR-Teal Lease/application number****************** = Rs 15,000/- debited....IF not allotted there will be no remarks or statement becathe same amount will be available in your bank account.

Warren Buffet''s 1st rule," Never lose money". 2nd rule: .."Never forget 1st rule". So, it''s very important to identify the ''rotten'' apples as Septa mentioned (Monte, CCD, UFO etc.) even if it comes at the cost of letting go of a few (seemingly) good apples. The only tool that we have to spot these bad investments is - valuation.
Applying just for listing gains is ''speculation'' not ''investment''. Speculate, if you must, but please keep in mind the associated risks. QIBs/NIIs are a different animal.. they have financial muscle.. it''s their job to move around millions everyday.. it''s just another day for them. But the story with us (RIIs) is different.
Remember, stock market has this skewed tendency to reward you ''less'' for a correct speculation as every one rushes in (e.g. ongoing TL IPO) but punish you ''much more'' for a single mistake. Reason is that with each successful speculation, we become more greedy and throw whatever rationality is left within us to the wind...sometimes we start leveraging by borrowing money from market to speculate....therefore when we are hit.,we are hit really hard.
I know my timing for this ''sermon'' couldn''t be more wrong with all this euphoria around huge subscriptions for TL IPO :) I sincerely wish good luck to every applicant.
This is very true. but the problem lies that when speculator or so called investor get continous 3-4 success, then he forgets that he is retail investor with little savings in his pocket as compared to FII and QIB. and becomes overconfident that he can not commit loss and he knows how to earn money from stock market. and from here starts downturn of fate of rii. so just always remember that we are retail investors and should book regular profits for the sake of our existence in stock market.
What Shri Gravitas said about investment does not seem right. IPO is all about listing gains only. Some people sell the shares on listing , others ''virtually'' sell on listing and ''virtually'' buy back them immediately. After listing those who want investing will keep them (virtual buy). So fundamentals and long term views are not applicable to IPO. What affects them are valuation and sentiment only, not fundamentals. If the fundamentals are good, anybody can purchase the share from market, no need to apply for IPO.
In IPO the purchase price one gets in allotment is very attractive if the share list at a premium and saves one''s couple of years to gain it similarly but is there a good stock introduced in market without IPO which you may bet your 2 cents on?
Moreover when you sell does that mean an end of growth of a good company stock forever?
Apart from the risk an IPO stock poses of under performances the next quarter onward, it can be really rewarding to keep the IPO allotments long. It would help average out your accumulation (if you believe in the company''s business) and would help your couple of years of investing in the long run.
SUGREEV Ur analysis was a big bouncer had to read it few time to understand it. your "virtually" take on buy and sell strategy is new to me THANK U ....... joke apart effectively u r saying people apply for only short term or long term for IPO gains if IPO go good it goes good of it goes bad it goes bad why worry about fundamental..... then u agree with Gravitas just speculate do not worry abt fundamental.
so what seems wrong with Gravitas IMO u statement should say i agree with GRAVITAS
IPOs are a good opportunity to catch a great business early but it''s also true that we often relegate it to just another opportunity for listing gains. So, it is what we make it to be.
Thanks Septa. I am sure there are quite a few boarders, including you, who have actually been able to spot a good business at fair price available through IPOs. It''s relatively rare but possible.
