Hey, I wanted to ask how can we sell at listing price? As CLEAN SCIENCE was listed at 1755 around but within seconds it came down to 1585. Is there any way to make sure my sell order gets executed at the listing price before it starts dropping? I''m sorry if this is a dumb question I''m new in IPOs
If you want sell at listing price then place order at 9:44 am because if you will put your order before 9:44 you will not get real settled price and after 9:45 pre open window will close so at 9:44 place your order at settled price or less than that price..

People should buy CDSL stock as the amount of retail subs means more and more demat accounts are being opened in name of friends and family... Subs are excellent by the way

What is the minimum amount to be applied to qualify for HNI and what is the calculation behind it. I know the HNI amount varies from IPO to IPO. Can this be done through UPI or it has to be done through ASBA alone. Is there any risk in applying in HNI category ? (with respect to money struck in bank or registra)
Please help to understand the HNI category better. I want to apply in HNI category here after as i have got only 3/10 IPOs allotted in last 6 months.
1) Minimum amount is above 2lakh for any ipo in hni category which corresponds to minimum 13-14lots The allotment will be proportionate unlike lottery based for rii Eg. if hni subscription is 40x, then u should have applied for 40lots minimum to get single lot alloted If u applied 39x then u get 0 lots, u apply for 45 lots, then u get 1 lot plus some 3 or 4 shares If hni is 2x and u applied for the minimum 14 then u will get 7 lots However most demanded ipos are getting above 100x so it''s only big fish game Also calculate the interest u r losing for 7 days for blocking that amount (min 3.5% saving account ) So if u r sure abt the listing gains or long run of company then u can but better apply on last day to see the final approx. figures of subscription
2) only through asba
3) No risk as such, only if u apply lots less than subscription then u would have wasted interest for those 7 days for nothing

@ramsan: don''t give wrong information if you are not aware. There is no interest loss while applying in hni via ASBA, we keep getting interest for the blocked amount. And there is still chance of allotment even if we apply for lesser lots than subscription times, not like as you said no allotment....it will be lottery then and chances depends on how much lots you applying. If applying for 100 lots in 200 times subscribed in hni, then there are 50% chances of getting one lot allotment, much better than retail category chances.
If people Keep reading some messages here, they will come to know everything.
dear experts - I am thinking of applying 31 lots under ICICIDirect - but in IPO page non-institutional option is disabled? any idea? also is 31 lots have better chances than 1 lot in retail?
Dear Rahul Thanks for your reply - as per above message in this thread by @lokes - even if I apply for 31 lots and NII goes for 200~ that means 200/30 => 6 => means 1 out of 6 applications who have applied for 31 lots and I have better chance than retail which is 1 out of 20+ - am I right?
@ Wealthy Ram Sir: Its mentioned so many places proportionate but in reality i have not seen this in my experience practically, In case of HNI oversubscription it will also go for lottery and there also either you will get 1 or nothing. I have tried in past thinking it will be proportionate but have not been allotted single share.

@rahul: you are half correct.
minimum allotment is one lot in hni category....you cant be allotted less than 1 lot...
And you need to apply for minimum that number of lots in which the ipo is oversubscribed in hni category to get one confirmed lot....means if ipo is subscribed 300 times then if you apply 300 or more lots then only guaranteed one lot you will be allotted and remaining some more shares on proportionate basis as per your applied lots if applying more than 300 lots,
And if you apply less than 300 lots then it will be lottery but still you will get 1 lot not on some proportionate basis...
@ Lokes: Thats what i mentioned sir i have read somewhere in this forum only that proportionate allotment for partial shares but it will not be less than 1 lot in reality and hence no point applying 30/40 or anything less than subscription in HNI

@rahul: you are wrong when you say this: "and hence no point applying 30/40 or anything less than subscription in HNI"
As i explained, if we apply for less lots then subscription then it will be a lottery and still we can get one lot... if its subscribed 400 times in hni and if we apply for 40 lots then chances of getting one lot in hni is 1/10 and in retails its 1/25 approx so better chance in hni... and if we apply 100 lots in hni then chances are 1/4 of getting 1 lot...
For applicants who don''t receive IPO application confirmation after accepting UPI Mandate, the most reliable source to verify IPO application status is - https://www1.nseindia.com/products/dynaContent/equities/ipos/ipo_login.jsp
FYI - You will have to create an account (this is one-time activity, and this account can be used for all the future IPOs). Creating account is quick!
Hi All, while accepting UPI mandate it says Authorization failed. But money blocked in bank account. What to do now? Whom to contact? Linkintime or Zerodha or Bank? Please suggest I am worried about this.
Bro, always apply through ASBA of any bank using net banking. Max avoid using UPI. Like these issue always pop up and our money gets locked without any purpose. Similar situation happened with me for zomato, coz I missed my 2pm window in ASBA. UPI mandate is unreliable. My personal views only.
A question if anybody can help me through this if I have my brother''s demat account and wanted to apply for an IPO through UPI mandate can I use my UPI id to apply for the same. Note( I have not used my UPI in any other IPO) Thanks. Please hepl me knowing this
