I want to know how preopen price decided?? In zomato at sell side 57 rs & at buy side 133 rs.at 9.43am..so how it open at @116??pls reply any expert or admin
A price equilibrium is worked out on which maximum quantity can get executed. They add purchaser quantity in descending order and sellers quantity in ascending order to discover the price at which maximum orders can get executed.
In your example when someone is willing to purchase at 133 it means he is ready to purchase it at 133 or any price below 133.
Simmilarly when one is ready to sale at 57 means he is ready to sell at or above 57.
So by adding ascending sale orders and by adding descending purchase orders they find the price at which max quantity can be executed
1. Interest rate is falling. In developed world it is near zero. Only way for financial institutions to make money is invest in stock market. 2. FED is printing dollars like there is no tomorrow. All those money finds its way to stock market. 3. Everyone knows this is a bubble but nobody knows when it will burst.

@Mamta, i got 5 lots, sold out 4 at preopen & holding 1 for long term. Its a great business and having moat in many products it manufacture. So i am holding it in my long term portfolio. And about Mondays movement, it should move up after 2 days of correction. Let c & about Zomato share movement i just describe the whole day scenario after market got closed ๐
@ EntropianTrader, place your order between 9 am to 9.44 am at a price below the listing price, example Clean science where i place order at Rs 1600 at around 9.30 am and at 9.45 am preopen price was around Rs 1755 so my order got executed. So try to place order below the expected listing price which you can check in NSE PREOPEN listing. If you place order more than the expected listing price than your order will not executed, in the above case ifbi would place order at rs 1756 than my order would not execute at preopen. Vice versa in buying shares at preopen. Recently i placed Zomato share order at 130 and my order got executed at Rs 116 and i got the shares at rs 116. Hope its clear
One more doubt @papon So in clean science you placed order at 1600 but the final listing price was 1755. So at what price your order got executed, 1600 or 1755 ? Is there any theory in this also ?
@papon you wrote - Clean science where i place order at Rs 1600 at around 9.30 am and at 9.45 am preopen price was around Rs 1755 so my order got executed.
At what price your order was executed Rs 1600 or 1755 ?
