in RHP as well as mail for shareholder category, it is clearly mentioned that a share holder can apply in employee quota too, also an employee can apply in SH quota & such apllications wont be considered as duplicate.
why this is not percolated/discussed in forum?
i am planning to apply all three category i.e. SH/RII/EMP from same PAN.
Hopefully my apps will not rejected considering RHP

Application with employee category will be rejected. Employee quota is only for Tata tech employees.
Hi All. A newbie question. Is it legal to have multiple demat accounts using same PAN from different brokers (e.g. one in Zerodha and one in HDFC Securities)?
Also if I apply for an IPO using both these accounts, would they be considered 2 separate bids and increase my chances of allotment or it is one bid per PAN?
Thanks

You can have any number of Demat accounts for single PAN.
However, only one application per single PAN is permissible, irrespective of number of Demat accounts held with that PAN. Of apart from this, you can apply in Employees and Shareholders quota, with the same PAN, provided you fulfill the requirements.
If you apply from two or more Demat accounts with same PAN, they are likely to be treated as multiple applications, and all such applications are liable for rejection.
One can have multiple demat accounts. No issues. However, as PAN is common, only one application is allowed. Multiple applications from same PAN are liable to be rejected.
What if I applied 13 lot in Shareholder category and it's subscribed by more than 13 times, i.e 20x, then what would happen? Should it go lottery system?

A sample calculation explaining the Tata Technologies IPO Share holder category allotment scenario. Note: Numbers I used in the example are sample in nature, just to make the understanding easy. HTH
@MVP Sir, thanks a lot for these tables. Can you please create four more tables to explain what happens if the number of applications are in descending order i.e. no. of applications are 100 for 13 lots, no. of applications are 50 for 10 lots so on and so forth. I think that would help us a lot.
Tata Tech: 13 lots - 1 application ( was holding TML in one demat only :( ) 1 lot retail - 1 application
1 lot retail - 1 application.
HNI allotment should be very tough since everyone wants to own this. I could apply 10 lakhs plus but no point.
Similarly have applied 2 retail in each - Gandhar, Flair, and IREDA. for HNI allotment 30 -40 lakh application should be there otherwise it has poor chances than retail. better if you have more than 1 cr.

Its good strategy indeed. If you can't apply 13 lots then don't apply in TATA SH and take some risk and try your luck in: - Gandhar - Flair - IREDA (low risk v/s reasonable reward) - Fedbank (high risk v/s high reward)
I had shared same strategy to all but people may take different way.
@Krishna T ✨ Sir, I am eligible for SH quota and I will be applying as a shareholder for the first time ever in an IPO. However due to limited funds, I can apply only one lot in SH quota. So, is it worth applying one lot in SH quota or shall I allocate the fund in any other IPO? Additionally, if one should not apply for one lot in SH quota then if you can explain the rationale behind why not to go for 1 lot in SH quota in Tata Motors, then it will be really appreciated (or if it has been explained anywhere else on the thread earlier, I would request you to point it out). Thank you in advance.

@Sleeping lion Your point is valid and feeling sad too because if it would be highly subscribed then 1 lot may have less value and even 13 lots will get 1 lot based on lottery. However, as i mentioned every action would be based on subscription in SH quota. I'm not denying to apply but consider as very rare/no chances for 1 lot allotment so people may play with different strategy like mentioned in my comment.
