What's the cutoff date for purchasing tata motors shares?

not yet declared.

Now everything boils down to pricing & valuation.
Everyone is waiting for it and wants to have a pie of it.

Retailers will have 35% of the IPO of such a big size. This will be first red flag to not let it fly post listing but if pricing would be attractive then maybe fierce institution demand can come post listing as well.
Though KPIT is currently trading at P/E of 80.

Let's wait for RHP:)

Till the filing of RHP, no date has been decided as yet of its filing. But can be any day in the near future... therefore I suggest you buy 1 tata motor (ordinary or DVR) share to be eligible for SH quota

Rhp is not yet filed...you can buy now...if rhp filed today then you won't be eligible...otherwise you will be eligible

FYI.. here is the hard reality that we have to digest instead of so much excitement in SH category advantage.

Every broker and investors like us has already passed the message to all our relatives, friends and Chittorgarh friends that you should keep 1 Tata Motors share to apply in share holder category. So, SH category will become one more retail nothing else. I'm pretty sure, it will behave like normal retail on top of regular retail irrespective of number of lots applied.

There is one debate going on in multiple posts whether people can apply:
1. Max or 1 retail in SH category (less than 2L rs) + normal retail - CAN BE APPLIED
2. Max or 1 retail in SH category (less than 2L rs) + normal sHNI - * UNKNOWN yet
3. Max or 1 retail in SH category (less than 2L rs) + normal bHNI - * UNKNOWN yet

If #2 and #3 would be marked as REJECTED then i'm sure there won't be much value of Tata Motors share for sHNI and bHNI account holders. Also, please note that; you may get only 1 retail in SH category; nothing more mostly. I'm assuming SH quota is not pro-rata basis distribution V/S lottery of 1 retail in SH category (obvious over-subscription). If SH is pro-rata based then people who will have more money will apply 2L shares, in this case also poor will become poorer :)

More, everyone would have money to invest in both and 80% retailers bought/will buy 615 rs Tata Motors share so SH will become additional lottery on top of normal lottery.

** UNKNOWN:
In the past, such things were not there where in normal application, you can't apply sHNI/bHNI along with SH category. I didn't dig more into it now considering we have time for IPO to come and grab more information regarding this.

​@Krishna T  True 😀 but I wanted shareholders category as an existing shareholder of Tata Motors. Hopefully, they will not remove it in the RHP 😀 but we can believe TATA group.

So the valid category is
1 sh upto 2 lac+retail from single pan
2 sh upto 2 lac+shni from single pan
3 sh upto 2 lac+bhni from single pan

For those who are confused about two applications on single pan card.....
I got allotment in Ujjivan Small finance banks in SH quota as well as in retail quota on same pan card.
I application in RETAIL /BHNI /SHNI
1 application in share holder quota.
One can apply 2 application on same pan card, if he/she holds parent company share.

I think share holder of parent Co can apply both as retail and under share holder quota limited to total of Rs 2 lakh only and thus can get allotment in both.Since SHNI & BHNI eligibility is + 2L /10L, so he can apply either under Share holder quota or as SHNI/BHNI

As per my understanding you can apply in both -

Shareholder quota upto 2 lakhs to maximize your chance of allotment since it is proportionate basis

AND

You can apply in Retail / SHNI / BHNI (your application in shareholder quota has no impact to this application)

Means issue size should be around 5264cr(9.57×550) but some people on forum said that issue size around 4000cr (420×9.57)
So ipo prize would around 420-450 based on above ..

May be I'm wrong because it's fully OFS.

There is a repeated quary regarding the elibility of applying in SH and Gen. Category together.
1).SH and retail can be applied together , if total amount of both appns. do not exceed 2L.
2)BHN/SHN application can be applied with SH appln.
3)SH appln. limit is 2L.

Tata Technologies reserves IPO share for employees and Tata Motors shareholders
0.5% of post-offer equity for employees and up to 10% for Tata Motors Ltd shareholders, with shares distributed proportionally.
TML shareholders reservation portion by an eligible TML Shareholder shall not exceed ₹2 lakh. On the other hand, the maximum bid amount under the employee reservation portion by an eligible employee should be under ₹5 lakh.

No, a Max of 2L in SH, and additional amount of 10L+ for bhni or 2L+ for shni or an amount less than 2L for retail.

Yes, I just responded on another thread with screenshot of my communication with Tata Tech CS and registrar.
