Even mine 1 share got accepted last time.

Dear @newgen consultancy 12.1, you are expecting a price band of 460-495 for TataTech while replying to 12., @Thiagarajan Ramasamy . Could you support your expectations with data points? It will be a learning for me; I am missing something, surely. Before the announcement of IPO, it was trading in the UL market @7000/share. Let’s adjust for 5:2 split and 1:1 bonus (w.e.f. January 06, 2023) and price comes at 700/share. Even now it's trading in the UL market at @950/share. Why so discounted priceband?

I will be posting the pricing metrics afterwards but understand one point

Un-listed market always trades at a much premium price than the fair price
Because those shares are usually those shares which companies give their employees as ESOPS , And those employees try to cash maximum
And further the broker , or the Un-listed market platform earn around 50% per transaction

2.Five Star Business Finance : UL price - 650
IPO - 474
3.TMB : UL price - 675 , IPO - 525
4.Fino Payments Bank - UL - 850 , IPO - 577
5.Suryoday SFB - Not remembering price but was still at higher premium , Also Anand Rathi, AGS transact

Also some Upcoming Ipo Bound companies are also available there like Gandhar Oil ,
Polymatech electronics , Tata tech , Care health ( Religare subsidiary whose demerger is awaited) , Bharat Hotels , BVG india , Capital SFB , Waaree Energies, Vikram Solar etc. are available at unreasonable valuations

They sell at nonsense prices it's our duty to buy right
Also TATA Tech's current rate there is 740app. And This price is of FY22 earnings at a PE of around 75 whereas the IPO is going to come at around 28-30 on FY23 earnings

However, for the sake of a counter argument (just to understand your perspective better), there could be good number of UL shareholders who want liquidity today, and will be willing to take a hit on "fair value" because they prefer monetisation compared to an indefinite and unpredictable future.
E.g. HDFC Sec shares are traded in UL market for at least last 5 years!
Considering this, as well as your fair point, shouldn't the UL equilibrium price be pretty much close to the "fair value"?

TCS Buyback announced. 17000 cr worth of shares to be bought back at 4150 per
share. To see Market reaction tomorrow. Not much up move is on cards. Let us wait and see.

@Thiagarajan Ramasamy ji, The BB price is disappointing for sure. Our only ray of hope at the moment is for the share price to approach the BB price, potentially offering an exit opportunity.

3. There is no discount in SH quota of Tata Tech..but if a company gives a discount then it is to win trust of shareholder and make them loyal to the company.

3. Some parent companies love to show gratitude towards their shareholders. Its not always about profit.

@Thiagarajan.. By looking it as an good opportunity to exit.. I have sold my all tcs holding at the at par rate at which I purchased in last buyback.. not comfortable with the AR ratio.. I believe it will be available between 3200..3300 level after buy back settlement..

I hold 50 shares at an average cost of 3650. Waiting for announcement of Q2 Numbers and buyback quantum and price to decide about selling part quantity.

From last year putting money in TCS is become like putting money in Bank FD. Very safe to bet, confirmed dividend and capital gain same as when FD mature with 7.20% increase.

result is excellent, margin improved, low attrition, 15% on whatever shares accepted in buy back , should see atleast 3 % jump tomorrow

In 2022 buyback at 4500, I tendered my 40 shares and out of which 9 shares got accepted. Will the ratio be same or better or lower this time around?
