As mentioned earlier there are 2,34,808 lots available and Appx 38 lakh shareholders.
1. If all the shareholders apply for 1 lot each then the subscription comes out to be 18 X appx. But some or a chunk of them may not apply so downside will be 15 X / 16:X.
2. But, many of them will apply for more than one lot (Max 13 lots) so upside may be more then +25 X.
3. So, overall subscription may be from 15 / 16 X to + 25 X or above (IMO should not cross 30 X ).

Shareholder quota in All probability will subscribe around and above 25 times because the world "proportionate allotment" has speed Misunderstood by a Large Section of retail crowd Without understanding the rules of it.

So a lot of them will apply one to x number of lots in shareholder category in the hope of allotment....

Just for clarification one again : allotment in shareholder quota will be done by lottery in case it is oversubscribed by 13 times and the chances of allotment is of Only those who have applied the max lot.

But again, who can stop anyone from trying their luck and playing block-unblock game.

Even if say 15 lacs shareholders applies with average 7-8 lot then subscription might go above 50x, as in shareholder category ~2 lac applicants with 1 lot will be allotted

15 lac x 7 lots / 2 lacs = 52

So as per your post, you are saying that, in case of over subscription, who applied max lot, i.e 13 lots in sh thay will get allotment and others who applied less than 13 lots will NOT get any ?
Is above you are trying to convince??

I will not apply in SH category. Though i am eligible share holder in all accounts.

See guys, let me give example on sh quota.
There are 2lk applications/lots in sh quota.

Case1- if there are 2.5lk people who applied 13 lots in sh quota, then they will be prioritize for allotment, since they applied max amount.
So here the case will be lottery, because there is only 2lk applications available and 2.5lk people/applications.

Case 2 - if there are 1.5 lk people who applied 13 lots ,then each of them will get 1 lot confirm, now remaining 50k lots will be distributed among those who applied 12 lots, and if still remains then it goes to 11 lots guys.
So this case would not be lottery for those who apply max lots.

I hope it is cleared. Hence it is unnecessary to apply just 1 ,2 lots in sh quota

It seems you and many have misapprehended proportionate allotment system.Let me give you explication of proportionate allotment.

How come you stated proportionate allotment is lottery? You believe if it gets oversubcribed it's lottery but it is NOT.

Lottery allotment is something when each applicant gets equal weightage for allotment,but in
proportionate allotment 13 lots applicant will always have an upper hand than applicant with less than 13 lots.Example if it gets oversubscribed by 15x,it would be 13/15 chance for him(13 lot applicant) to get an allotment whereas 1 lot applicant would have 1/15 chance for an allotment.There will be individual lottery in sub categories example 13 lots,12 lots ,11 lots...But as I mentioned just before that all higher categories have better chance of allotment so we cannot name it lottery since everyone(applicants with different lots) is not eligible with same ratio.
So as you mentioned only higher lots will get allotment is not true even 1 lot applicant will be eligible for allotment.The chance of the applicant definielty reduces but that what proportionate allotment means.

So it's not harmful to apply x number of lots since the higher the lots you apply higher the chance you get no matter what subscription figure is.

Forget about subscription estimates and try to arrange as much as fund possible. And decide how much to apply where and which category on 24 at 2 pm

Tata - 5-7x
IREDA - 2.5-3.5xGandhar oil - 12-14x
Flair - 10-12x

In share holder category maximum you can apply for 13 lots, anything above will not be allowed.

There is no sure shot allotment in any category unless it is under (low) subscribed and tata will definitely be over subscribed in each category
