day 1 subscription numbers are not upto expectations... maybe due to lack of funds or maybe due to lack of interest... exercise caution while applying...
Disclosure - I have applied my retail accounts (will cancel half if same response continues tomorrow)
exactly... I first wrote poor subscription numbers but I quickly changed to not upto PAR... We have been seeing 3x or more for retail during day 1 and some activity starting on QIB and HNI side.. currently, TARSONS is doing just ok!

@iamnimitshah Buddy Bajaj has opened bookings for HNI funding, I guess you would’ve been aware about it. It will get satisfactory response. Retailers subscription doesn’t even matter in any IPO (as far as listing is concerned).
Can you please give more details about HNI funding from Bajaj Fin Serv. If you have any contacts or links or other sources of HNI funding, please share. I have been trying to get sources of HNI funding but not successful.
Yupp. Someone please fill in about HNI funding. What is the procedure? Which nbfcs? Things to keep in mind? Do''s and don''ts of hni funding?
Would like to know more about it. If possible start a new thread.
Thanks.

@AlwaysLucky Firstly, you will have to open brokerage account with them and tell them you are interested in availing HNI funding services. They ask for various documents, forms, certificates before they provide you with the services. Disclosure: I have been a customer from last 2 years. Don’t know much about the process now.
Also, RBI has capped the funding to Rs. 1 crore effective from 1st April, 2022. So opening it now you will get maybe opportunity to apply in 2-3 Good IPO. Also it’s very risky.

agree with @ipo stonks that now HNI funding is going to be a thing of the past... Also, don''t have any contact as such.. Calling their customer care and telling them your requirements will start the process.. it''s a tedious one though with many documentation.. took me around 1 month..
@ipo stonks Yes, john called me to tell about Tarsons.. but he did call me during Sapphire as well.. which failed later.. What rates did he offer you? For me, Nykaa at 13% for 8 days and LV at 10% for 7 days.. can you tell their previous rates to me? for Paras, Zomato, clean, tatva etc?
Also, request you to shift the HNI funding conversation into the HNI thread.... Will be easier to keep track with all related messages in a line. Great idea by @noorul 👍

@iamnimitshah The interest rates offered are same for all of us mostly. I think it’s the ultra HNI to whom there will be concessions in rate of interest. Nykaa ROI was 13% but they collected +2.5% additional (the same will be refunded). In short they demanded 15.5% upfront. They same with you ?
@M.K This conversation is about HNI funding participation. Don’t want to create chaos in the HNI thread where we discuss how many lots to apply. Good initiative tough :)

Charges for 10 Lacs of IPO funding in my kotak bank account are Rs. 3500/- + interest rate. These seems to be too costly considering listing gain and chances of allotment. Is there any better option for IPO funding to apply in HNI? Please provide link/contact for better options.
@shareHunterz ji - thank you for sharing your experience with Kotak. I had a couple questions regarding IPO Funding at Kotak - 1) Do you require Kotak Securities Demat account or any NSDL demat account is accepted for IPO funding. 2) Can you confirm the charges since @ipo stonks ji is mentioning otherwise.

@Niteenipo 100% sure. The amount of Rs. 3,500/- is including interest. Also for awaiting the same you need to have securities account with Kotak. Check the below terms which I got from Kotak myself. Minimum loan amount: INR 5,000 Maximum loan amount: INR 1,00,000 for Retail Individual Investor category and INR 10,00,000 for HNI Individual Investor category. Minimum margin (your own contribution): 50% Non-Refundable Fees & Charges* are as follows: Loan amount (in Rs.) Fees & Charges 5,000-50,000 299 50000.01-100000 399 100000.01-200000 749 200000.01-500000 2100 500000.01-700000 2500 700000.01-1000000 3500
*Includes interest and Processing fees (inclusive of GST). T&C Apply
This is a general post about IPO Funding / IPO Financing / HNI Funding
Interest rate is never constant at 6% or 7% or 8% or 10%.. It varies according to the market conditions and how greedy NBFCs are... By market conditions, I mean how ipos are doing, how the GMP is behaving, how the IPO calendar looks like, whether there are too many ipos in the pipeline, etc. By greediness, I mean how big cut the NBFC you are taking the loan from is...
Bajaj Finance is one of the greediest NBFC and wherever they smell they can earn more, they will never leave any chance. They can change interest whenever they want (it''s written in their T&C) they will change margin anytime they want. For any ipos, they will want you to take all the risk by giving them more margin and interest upfront and for any good gmp ipo, they will keep a higher interest rate than all other NBFCs average. For NYKAA, they took 13% whereas motilal gave at 7.5%
Please beware of such foul play by Bajaj Finance/Finserv or any such NBFC you may have encountered
Don''t you think IPO funding is the tiniest part of their overall business? They might be good in other things.. But this is my personal experience.. Very unprofessional the IPO team..

@iamnimitshah Your interpretation about Margin is very wrong. Margin literally depends upon the estimated subscription of any IPO. So they have to keep on changing it. Regarding interest, we all are only causing the interest rates to go higher. The demand is tremendous and everyone wants funding, since the funds in the market are limited, they will obviously take advantage and increase the interest rates. So that they don’t have to say no to their clients and clients who find interest rates high automatically withdraw from funding.
Also, about other NBFC’s giving funding at lower rates, their loan size book is very small, they lend to only their premium clients who trade a lot with them.
Understood your point about other NBFCs as well as the rates going higher.. But once a deal has been done (for me latent was agreed at 10%) they changed it without informing me to 11.5% and adjusted the difference from the extra margin I had paid.. This is really unacceptable right? What if they say suddenly that they couldn''t get at 11.5% and change to something even higher say 20%... and adjust the money from the POA demat account that they have or the extra margin that we pay...

@iamnimitshah This sure as hell is unacceptable. But you know this right, they are collecting interest as follows: I availed funding for Tarsons interest collected by them was 10%+3.5% total 13.5%. In this 10% is the cost and 3.5% is additionally collected which will be refunded after sometime. Will not be able to explain the logic behind additional 3.5% via text. So I guess for Latent it was 10% and additional 1.5%. And this 1.5% should be refunded to you. Clear it out with them. And if they changed the rates then it is not acceptable.
@ipo stonks, I dropped them a mail, called them.. Not getting proper response as expected! Atleast got to an agreement that next time onward transparency will be maintained if ROI gets changed.. Bcz each percent increase in ROI increases our cost per share by 30rs in something like Tarsons!
ROI for Tarsons from Bajaj was 11%. However, they said we will be charged for 13.5%. The 2.5 % will be returned back to us at the end of the quarter. It is something to do with FD interest that they will get from the bank. In my experience JM charges higher than Bajaj. Never was able to get in touch with other NBFCs.
Do you trust them to give the 2.5% at the end of the quarter? and even in that 10% TDS so it''s 2.25% back correct? at 11.25%, the cost per share becomes 260+ right? GMP toh 200+ nahi hai abhi... and at best GMP of Tarsons was 250... Itna risk leke malai kidhar hai?
You will get 1 lot..if you are lucky as your 13+13+7 will be considered as 1+1+1...as the IPO is over subscribed.... Big ambitions without proper knowledge.
my dear. do you not know that once an issue is reasonably oversubscribed in retail category, anyone who applies mim one lot or 10 lots, there will be no difference in their allotment.
Dear all I applied 13+13+7 lots in different pan If I got 29+29+22 shares as per final subscription figure there will be total 80 shares. I assume minimum 320 to 400 Rs profit per share.... Hence come out 25000 - 32000 profits..... Good luck doston.
@Raj, May your spirit be like this Allotment.. Is your statement based on allotments of your previous oversubscribed IPO? If yes can you share any of them.
But as already in the above comments If you apply for 1 or 7 or 13 lots in oversubscribed IPO there are equal chances of getting alloted only 1 lot.

@RajBhartiya - Not to offend you, but can you enlighten us..... based on final subscription figure, on applying 13+ 13 + 7 lots in 3 different pan how can you have allotment if 29+29+22 shares? Even if you are luckiest person in the universe, may be ceo/MD of kfintech, max. share that can be alloted to you is 3 out of 3 lots, that is 22x3=66 shares.
Sir The total subscription in retail catogary is around 10 times. So, if u applied 13 lots u surely got 28-30 shares... Not 22 shares.
Those who applied 10 lots, they surely got 22 shares(1 lot) as the final subscription is 10 times.... So simple

@Raj Bhartiya in retail category shares are not alloted in proportionate basis in over subscribed ipo they are alloted in lottery system so even though you applied for more than 1 lot per account your application will be considered as 1 lot per account via lottery so max you can get 3 lots .

@Raj - Can you share how many lots you got allotted and did you mis-understanding about retail allotment cleared or not? If all retail get proportionate allotment like you wrote, life would be so easy. No job needed, just money rains everywhere. :D
