This force is unnecessary. It will carry the same wt as one lot in oversubscribed IPO

Sir, one question. may be a very basic one. Are chances of allotment greater for 2 applications in retail or one application of 39 shares in HNI.

Your 39 lots in 3 accounts
and
my 15 lots in 15 accounts

13 lots each in 3 retail accounts? Means 39 lots in 3 retail acc.... Who does that in sufficiently oversubscribed issue?
Would hv been better if u had applied for 39 lots in one HNI acc. That would have carried some force.
For your 13 lots in each of 3 Retail acc the force will be equal to someone who applied for 1 lot in each of the 3 retail account.

@PAV lot of threads are there where it is clarified on how the allotment works in Retail and in HNI. Retail is very simple, in case of oversubscription, all applications are treated equally, whether its for 1 lot of multiple lots.

You can''t apply 39 shares in HNI. Is it lots? Then chances will be more on HNI. Best will apply one ratail and one HNI 38 lots

You should have applied for 1 lot each in 2 demat accounts and remaining 37 lots in HNI category in 3rd demat account

Thanks for your replies. I am new to IPO and just reading the forums to understand before I apply. I have never applied so far. I was not able to understand why one would apply for "39 lots in 3 accounts" based on the articles in this site. Now I got it.

The company is good and making money, but the asking price is very costly.
June 21 qtr numbers not good.
I am waiting to apply after QIB at least crossed the 15-20X mark.
