GoColours will have huge applications due to the Latent funds being released.

Sdz jokingly mentioned in the other forum of how HNI in PB would have yielded higher than Sigachi HNI. PB had a risk of listing at par or in a slight discount also though.

Suggest, you keep the HNI application on hold till 2.45 PM on the last day. The quantum can be decided accordingly. If it crosses 140X, then applying for 70X would not yield a confirmed allotment. Then apply for a round figure 50 lots to have a higher chance of a lottery. If it subscribes less than 140X, then apply for an odd lot number like 68 or 71 to increase your chance of allotment.

NBFCs are funding this IPO as well.. Don''t know from where they are getting this money... certainly have to say toooooooo deep pockets!

I think we can decide only after seeing HNI subscription numbers on Wednesday 1-2pm. With another ultra bumper GMP issue competing with this, these days becoming tough to estimate whether Tarson will attract 100x or 50x or even 10x and lower 🤕😂

My options are limited to retail / 14 / 30-40 lot applications from my all four accounts, since I am invested in Latent, So less work this time.

I am applying in retail only in this one and 1 minimum hni application of just crossing 2 lakh. Will apply in gocolors in hni.
@harit: if you have short term view for listing gains then gocolors is fine and if medium to long term view then tarson is better and for 70 lots I would suggest to go in tarsons only.
@M.K : there will be many applicants for 70 lots too, anyways 50,60,70 all are round figure only, and there will many applicants for these, so putting 50 lots is simply decreasing chances here.
Also while creating such HNI thread, please use ipo name also when multiple IPOs are there so that in mail alert , it will be easy to recognise ;) :)

For those who r raising d question about subscription figure dat isn''t looking up to mark of satisfaction yet.. let me tell u here retail is 35% where in last many issues retail was only 10% dat makes a lot of difference.. and hni funds already being stuck in LV... I hve witnessed many lucrative ipos in past like this had a below par subs becaz of this kind of circumstances.. and this is a ideal situation for a self funded hni to get a complete juice out of this sugarcane.
@ avenue.. i mention 15% nbfc instead of hni.. sarcastic .. becaz nbfc exploiting that quota.. in other words they r shooting bullet on a shoulder of funded hnis..

At this point RII is 3.54x and HNI is 0.34x.
if retail quota is 35%, how can present overall subscription figure be 1.84x ??
Overall subscription of 1.84x is possible only if Retail portion is 50%.

@ avenue... It is possible because those figures r excluding anchor book.. anchor book is of 300cr.. now almost 700cr left for qib, hnis n retail. 35 % of 1000 cr is 350cr and that is equal to 50% of 700cr. Hope its solve ur query..

@M.K the interest rate offered by NBFC is 10% and number of days are 7.. Hence the HNI per share cost will be 127 if 100x 169 is 150x and 254 if 200x

I think you are missing out on some info here...

At overall level, 50% qib 15% HNI and 35% retail
Now, for the 50% qib, 40% already given to anchors... so that''s 20% of overall given to anchor...

Hence the numbers that we see currently for QIB are the NON-ANCHOR QIBs (which is 30% of overall)...

So now the 100% we took earlier is only 80% since ANCHOR QIB already bid and got for their 20%
So new %ages are
Retail = 35% originally = 43.75% in New anchorless distribution
Non Anchor QIB = 30% originally = 37.5% New anchorless distribution
And HNI = 15% originally = 18.75% in the new anchorless distribution...

That is why overall was showing 1.84x...

Just a querry. As of now when a funded HNI applies, is it he himself submitting an application with the NBFC funds being transferred to HIS account or is it that the NBFC applies on the HNI''s behalf?
Is the Exchange able to tag a funded HNI as of now from the subscription data?

Step 1 : You need a brokerage account with the funding NBFC like Bajaj / IIFL etc.

Step 2 : Once step 1 is done, then additional paper work is done and an ESCROW account is opened with a bank of the NBFC''s choice. You sign a POA giving complete operational control of this account to the NBFC.

Step 3 : You have to transfer the base amount (margin) on which you want leverage. i.e. say 10 lakhs (on which you will get leverage of say 100 x = 10 crore application) The interest component also gets debited and will need to be funded into this account upfront.

Step 4 : The NBFC applies on your behalf ( I''m not 100% sure if the funds are transferred into the Escrow A/c and then blocked or blocked from the NBFC''s own account... the former seems more plausible. ) You will not be able to move even a single rupee out of the escrow account without the NBFC''s say so as you have no operational right on this account.

U told u would be applying all retail except 1 hni of 14/15 lots in Tarsins. Now quotawise, Tarsons 35% retail preanchor. Assuming 150× max hni subs. and 12× retail subs.,would 15 lots hni have more chance to get allotment than 1 lot retail or same bcoz (15/150)×100 is almost equal to 12 and if so we can apply 14 lots more in Go colors hni and only 1 in retail in Tarson,

My intention was actually to understand whether the upcoming regulations will in reality help the self funded (?) HNIs vis a vis the financed (😊) HNIs.

Many of the things missing however are =>
1) It''s much risky
2) you need many documentations - notarised/ affidavits/ networth certificate/ etc
3) Profit net of interest is very low.. In most cases, you will end up paying 20k interest for 20k worth of shares... and hence IPO opening 100% up will also not please you

(take tatva for example.. on applying for 1 cr, you get 20k worth of shares bcz 500x subscription... interest on 1 cr at 10% for 7 days is roughly 20k... hence tatva opening at double it''s issue price is just your breakeven)

I covered the paper work part in the 2nd point. Didn''t go too much into detail as there is roop much paper work. IIFL sent me a detailed checklist... Read those requirements and declined... Was in two minds anyways whether to open a finding account 😂 Anyways the query was about the fund movement.

With ref to the interest calculations, people will realise if they follow the HNI discussions... Plus the HNI cost calculator is there. Back testing of all the IPOs can be done easily.

Bottom line, the leverage is priced to perfection by the NBFCs leaving just a little bit for you. Any big swing in the GMP either way can bring u bumper profits or big losses.

@iamnimitshah - Anchor is always upto 60% of QIB, hence 60% of 50% QIB results in 30% Anchor of the overall issue. Thanks.

@sbipo: that part i just mentioned if HNI less than 100X and retail more than 12X, i will take decision for that at 2.45pm tomorrow, mostly i will apply only in retail in tarson if subscription crossing 100X in HNI and less than 10-12X in retail.

@sbipo: for gocolours, i feel it should go upto 250X-300X around, since its HNI quota is 152 crore and in latent it was 90 crore in HNI and anyways there is no comparison between latent and gocolours company sector/profile and gmp % . Latent is much much ahead than gocolours in that.
So even if latent funds will be available here, i don''t think it will cross 300-350X in gocolours else it will not be beneficial for funded HNI''s.
And lets see tomorrow tarson subscription also, basis on that gocolors will also be having some impact. Tarson may go around 80X-120X.
And for your 100 lots money, better to go full with tarsons in HNI and one 14 lot application in gocolors , remaining lets see tomorrow around 2.30-2.45pm.

I am new to this HNI application process.
Can you guys please help me understand what is the price at which I need to bid for increasing the allocation chance?

The rule states that "HNI''s are not entitled to Bid at the Cut-off Price. They have to bid at a fixed price in the issue price range."

Say I am applying for 100 lots, and the issue price range for Tarson is Rs 635 to Rs 662, then applying at what price will have the max chance of allocation?

@akbg... Always bid at upper price band (662 in this) when applying as all IPOs with decent interest will get fully subscribed. Even if u put bid at 1rs less your application will be ignored and 0 allotment

There is always a domino effect that you can see in casinos very clearly. People bet, win and slowly start betting bigger and bigger as they feel they should make the most of a good thing.

Funded HNIs are making money... Good money as per their margin invested. With the GMP of GoFashions (seems ultra high to me... Or I''m dumb to not understand how great that company is), there will be a deluge of funded HNIs who will apply. Even I will apply with my own funds to flip to listing. So the estimate of 250x-300x should be taken with a pinch of salt... Funding deluge aaye toh 500x bhi jaa sakta hai. Screenshot le lo and troll me if it doesn''t 😂

@M.K : every company cant be latent view and paras, they both had 3 similar reason for that much subscription: more than 100% GMP in both (both were valued good and left enough on table for investors), both were from demanding sectors and having good financials, and both were having lesser size or amount available for HNI. Gocolour is nowhere comparable to both of these in any aspect. And i said this also for gocolours: "i don''''t think it will cross 300-350X". Remaining all depends on funded HNI''s , we can just assume ;) :)
@mvmsr: that round off thing depends on total subscription too and above/below 50% thing as i explained in that thread and anyways all these things depends on other applicants which we will never be knowing :)
only less than 50% case, better to apply in round off lots, more than 50%, we can never be sure of anything, we can just try to use corner lots to be lucky/single.

@avenue: since tarson is showing good upmove in HNI now and retail will be around 9-10X only max application wise so better go all retail in tarson and use your 30 lots application in gocolours in HNI, there retail will be around 50X, so in gocolours you can apply in full force HNI plus 2 small hni accounts with same 30 lots each.

Placed a bid for 439 lots. Gone ff in Tarsons and for go fashion i''ll try my luck in retail.

I applied 530 lots. I felt applying more lots in this IPO may be better, Instead applying 500x in gocolors to get 1 lot

5k profit expected for every 27lk application. Not all IPOs can give high profit like Sigachi''s 40k profit for every 24lk

Atleast 10000 ka profit to hoga hi per lot

@sbipo - as per your calculations, My HNI application for 52 lots has chance (52/184.58)x100=28.17, & 20 lots has chance (20/10.55)x100=10.84, which are higher than 5 retail application, which has chance (1/10.55)x100=9.48. Is this right understanding & calculation?

@M.K. - sorry to bother you. But in your post elaborating HNI FF process, I want to clarify step 4. whether money lies in customer bank account (though POA given to NBFC), or with NBFC.
I ask to clarify from all HNI FF users, because
if it lies with customer bank account, it will earn 3-3.5% savings bank account, effectively decreasing NBFC lending interest to 6.5-7% (10-3 or 3.5= 7 or 6.5),
if it lies with NBFC, then effective interest yield to NBFC will be 10 + 3-3.5 = 13-13.5, which is enormous income to NBFC.

I am a self funded HNI. The Sigachi refund and the sale proceeds of allotted shares have been fully utilized by applying for 502 lots in Tarsons and likely to get allotment of 60 shares. Latent refund will be utilized for GO Fashions<=1 Cr. Congratulations to those who are getting assured allotment and those who are likely to get allotment on lottery. Thanks for MK for opening this HNI thread which is very much useful.

The funds are not in the customers'' account. You get no benefit from the savings interest.

Despite multiple high-level attempts, the registrars refused to share the detailed NII Basis of Allotment. Here is one of the replies "You will have to obtain this from respective companies or lead managers please and not from us."

Note that the same person (the top boss of one of the firms) guaranteed a month back in our direct discussion with him that if an applicant requests, we will share the NII BoA with all details.

You may write to the Investor Grievance Officer of these newly listed companies.

These grievances are recorded by them and have to be reported to sebi mentioning how many complaints recd and how many resolved. I''m confident that you will receive the BOA from them. Put the registrar in the CC as well.

I had an I NCD related incident with Kfintech related to Indiabulls. I emailed the nodal grievance officer whose email I got from the indiabulls website. In 30 minutes, the registrar reached out to me and acknowledged the issue and promised to resolve it. Then post resolution, the registrar emailed the company officer who then asked me to confirm if the issue had been resolved as he will have to close the complaint for sebi records.

I requested for detailed BOA for Tatva chinton ipo to link in time many times but they have not provided it.
I have applied this ipo as nii investor.
I have also written to Tatva chinton company but they are also not providing.


In past I requested kfintech/Karvy for detailed BOA for Hdfc amc and Happy mind ipo they provided me 40 pages pdf file of nii subscription.

@Team chittorgarh: Its same way only as i explained. you can see hundreds/thousands of examples in all available BOA''s. I checked many at least and saying based on that only. Obviously no one is doing allotment manually and in computer, its simply the logic of 0.5 as i explained there. Above 0.5, consider next number, below 0.5 consider previous number, no matter single applicant or 1000 applicants for any lot category (below subscription times). it''s same algorithm logic in all. Anyways you can check in BOA if you get from RK also.

Since was getting zero allotments in retail for long time .So keeping in view, latent subcription locked money. subscribed 106 lots as HNI in Tarson on last day .In morning was hoping for TWO lots and at time of applying was sure of one lot but by late evening ,it looked like a case of lottery. MAY be babaji ka thullu hi allot hoga as HNI too. expert opinion please....

Jab last time it raised money from private investors, tab uska valuation 16 billion dollars tha... this converts to 1L 18K crores and this was obviously pre-ipo and 2019 numbers... 2019 me NIFTY was 11k and today it''s 18k... 50% is the overall growth everywhere...

Paytm is like other loss making companies like zomato, nykaa or policybazaar... lots of potential but currently LOSS making...

But Monday onwards if it keeps on tanking further and comes below 1200,since it has closed at lowest point of the day and valuation still high,do you think Tarsons(185 from 280 already) and Go Fashions(570 to 480) gmp may vanish as well by the time it list?

I don''t think GMP will vanish.. But yes, the sentiments have been hammered by Paytm... We could see how most of the IPO shares got treated in the last session!

Frankly, anything can happen. If Paytm sinks significantly on Monday, it will have far reaching consequences for the IPO GMPs. Any turbulence in the secondary mkts will also have an effect. If the index shows strength, then the IPO listings are also better than normal and vice versa. Some companies like Nykaa / Dmart will do well or very well or excellent on the listing day depending on external factors.
Also, in all of my years in the mkts, the biggest losses I have made are when I tried to invest on fundamentals and not the mkt perception and max profits have been gained when I went with the mkt momentum. PayTM perception dulled from the moment there was a tepid response in the subscription. There was no way it would have recovered. The size of the issue didn''t help.

@sbipo: Regarding gocolors approx subscription, i replied in gocolours forum HNI thread. Regarding paytm, ya it should have some impact on subscription/gmp/listing of other ipos, but more than paytm, secondary market movement/sentiments matters for these. And below are my views for paytm:

Nothing can be said now about paytm future price movement, so its better to be in wait and watch mode for some days to see where the price is stabilizing. it may go up once enough selling done from retailers, don''''t know when, and a lot depends on its upcoming quarterly results too (date not announced). I do not think there was any big rub off on the market due to Paytm fiasco. FII''s were sellers to the tune of 4,000 crores and even DII''s were sellers too. Well !!! Paytm may subdue primary market.

Lokes ....Is 2100 a good level to add Nykaa. I have already touched 110 shares and as posted earlier, can clearly give 3-5 years.

@andi: as you already bought in preopen around 2018 and you already have enough quantity so it''s better you can wait to add more if you want. Let''s see market movement in coming days, it may impact nykaa also little bit but it won''t go down much. You can buy around 2k to 2050 if you get, also depends how much you want to put in single share.

Lokes ....Thanks. Well !!! I normally buy and hold and play the quantity game. Motherson Sumi I am holding / adding since 2011 and have enjoyed 5 bonus issues. Quite same with TCS, Asian Paints and HDFC Ltd. Stack up and forget about it for years ....Nykaa being a new age stock, not being able to get a feel of business prospects.

Paytm failure will have No / Very little effect on future IPOs and their GMPs at it was expected and eminent due to various factors already discussed. If someone is surprised by bad listing of Paytm.. can''t say... I was not. There are several other factors which will definitely efffect Primary Market and IPOs but not Paytm.

Even GMP of all coming ipos down...! gocolors 490 to 485... latent view 385 to 330.... Tarzons from above 250 to below 200....

@avenue: paytm failure was known to everyone but to this extent, no one could have thought, 27% down with lower circuit in india''s biggest ipo will definitely have some impact and already had some impact. And as i already said in my last last message, other than this, secondary market movement also matters (which was already in bad mood from some days and paytm share listing/movement added bad sentiments to that)

The dent in IPO craze and GMP will be temporary as companies coming up with their issue will have to re-ascertain their valuation in the light of Paytm''s listing.
This will specifically have a greater impact on Fintech players and small finance banks who are looking for higher valuations.
There are a lot of small finance banks in line but they aren''t filing RHP because of lackluster response and in fintech, Mobikwik might be having sleepless nights.

In case of over sub, always put only one application from the retail lot per PAN. If you have money, go for HNI and apply multiple lots from there. Applying 13 lots from retail is of no use.
