Some quick Maths -

NII portion is 126 cr, which means Big HNI = 84 cr and small HNI = 42 cr.
No of the applicants that will get allotment in each category is as follows -
Big HNI - 84,00,00,000/(952*220) = 4010 applicants.
Small HNI - 42,00,00,000/(952*220) = 2005 applicants.

Now based on the past issues, can somebody help in predicting the expected number of applicants in each category?

Today I went to meet my broker (SMC global) representative for IPO funding. He doesn't know the actual process. He just said I have to open a funding account with their tie up bank.
Members, I request you all, plz write the actual process, how I can avail funding ?
What are the T&C ??
What is the minimum loan I have to take ??
What margin I have to give ??
And many others if you want to add.
I think it will be helpful not only for me but for those people who are thinking about IPO funding.

Chances in IPO is the same whether applied through asba or upi. If your luck favors you will get an allotment, either it is subscribed 100 times. I am applying through asba, net banking for more than 10 years. The very simple and easy way to apply. No chance of mistake. Only balance tobe available in account. UPI is better for the people who belive in subscription figures the most than the fundamentals or faith on himself or the views of experts. You have more time to accept your mandate. In asba, we can also wait for subscription figures in addition to the views of others till the last day and the timing of the Bank for applying
You can cancel your application. Generally the amount is unblocked immediately. But exceptions are there.

I have applied in the IPO for my huf account (retailers category)from Edelweiss partner's site. Status is "pending for bid".
I also have zerodha account, whether I should apply from zerodha account to process it faster. Won't these two will count as multiple bids. I will accept only one UPI mandate.

Can an individual apply both retail and SHNI. If no, which one will be better in this IPO.

You cannot apply in both. Either Retail or SHNI.
Looks both have equal chances, however SHNI may have slightly better chances.

I am not following the new rules. Just want to understand if we need not apply more than 10L stocks in bHNI ?

Just like in retails in case of over subscription, multiple lots don't serve any extra purpose...
Now in case of bhni anything above 10Lakh are all equal and in case of shni anything between 2-10lakh have equal chance ...
U will get a full 14-15 lots in case of lucky lottery in any hni....

in which category chances of attotment are better?

why is QIB bids at this point is 0 ?

QIBs usually apply on the last day of the IPO.. since this ipo has number of days as 7 instead of usual 3, why would someone apply on day 1 and block the money. Anything can happen in the next 6 days and unlike us (retailers), HNIs and QIBs cannot cancel their bids
