@Basuvr@Chhote Lal I agree, AR should be around 18 to 20%.. I would not be taking part in it, because funds are blocked for months and there are going to be lots of IPOs coming in june, july!!

@Chhote Lal@Basuvr how does the 1 share strategy work in share buyback? I thought you need to have all the shares needed to be participating in buyback
@Bibhu Agrees with what out friend @Vimal Garodia has mentioned. One share strategy may not give any phenomenal returns (earning just 300 may not be big deal), only consolidation is all such rewards are tax free.
I still did not understand the 1 share strategy, is it something like you buy 1 share today and offer the same for the buyback, you will be having confirmed chance of allotment thereby gaining ₹300 a share?
But as the @Basuvr Sir said that the Acceptance Ratio will be somewhat around 20%, doesn't it mean that 1 out of 5 individuals who had applied for 1 share buyback would get it and not all of them, i.e., 5 individuals.
Kindly clarify sir.

@Curio No, thats not how it works. Registrar accepts 1 share of each participants first and then goes on accepting according to acceptance ratio. The above holds true when retail shareholding is less than no. of retail shares in buyback. If the retail shareholding is greater then there is lottery who holds 1 share or less than entitlement ratio. Here retail quota is ~3lk ad retail shareholders are less than 60k afair. Hence 1 share will be definitely accepted here. If someone has many demat accounts he/she can take benefit of this. As buyback gains is tax free
One more question sir, as you and @Basuvr Sir mentioned that the retail quota can be somewhere around 300k shares and the potential number of retailers may increase to 120k till the buyback date. So, can we expect 2 shares confirmed allotment and the rest on lottery basis or only 1 share will be allotted confirmly and the rest 180k on the basis of Acceptance Ratio (assuming all the retailers apply for buyback) ?

@Curio It will be 1 share taken by company ain buyback offer.
If you have 10 share, then it will be 2 share if AR is 20%

@KAUSHI K I have never used Indusbank but will try to help you.
Process for applying IPO should remain same, what you have to do is link the FD with your saving accounts. Check if there is any option to link FD with saving account or check if there is any Smart Sweep option available. If you don't find the option connect with your RM or bank representative.
@Harsh Newguru With all due respect, i do not want to comment on the site you mentioned, because it is a sister site of CG..
That comment about SBI mode was in lighter vein, relax..
The website i am watching is being updated regularly and no, i cannot disclose the name because that will be against the rules of this website, apologize for that..🙏🙏
Based of last 2 IPOs avg. No of avg retail apps were 1,996,975. No of retail apps here 127343, so retail subs 12-15x. SHNI no of avg apps 110,102.5. no of SHNi apps here 1299 so SHNi might subs 70-80x

It does not work like that. If it worked in that manner then it will be very easy for merchant banker to bring issues
I think one question mark was missing, one can always use confirm and tentative together too. For example, in a question like : Are dates confirmed or tentative?

IPO below 1000 or 1500 cr looks small considering the participation. The way awarness & participation is going high & high, a time will come when when IPOs with 3000 cr will also won't be enough for allotment, consequently it will also be considered as small size IPO😅😅
