Even for 70 paise dividend per share immediately after announcement of dividend it will reach Rs. 40 as other public sector peers (IFCI is at Rs. 50 which is giving dividend 80 paise per share)

Gem, it makes sense. No way to give 3.2 of 2.1 earnings.. Thanks for the clarification.

i know that dividend % is spoken wrt to face value.
but the sjvnl management meant that 32% of earnings.
which is 2.2*32% = 70 paise

if u still not getting den haath faila ke baithe raho agle janam mein tumhe rs.3.2 /sh ka div mil jayega

use common sense how a co can give regular div more than their earnings. eps = 2.2 div = 3.2 what rubbish thinking by illitrates.

now look at current prince ..i think ..SJVN..WILL NOT GO UNDER 25...FOR RETAIL INVESTOR IT IS GOOD SHARE AT IPO PRICE TO BE IN PORTFOLIO

@ 829, Guess ur wrong.. Divident is on the Face value and not on EPS/anyother parameter. So 30% on Rs10 FV means Rs 3 for a stock which is @ 25. So actual rate is about 12%

32% dividend means not on face value of shares, but govt co is advised by finance ministry to pay at least 30% dividend of there earning or eps, so its 32% of eps which is 2.1/sh = 70 paise per share

Don't go with Buyers Sellers number.
9 out of 10 sellers have placed their sell order at much higher level (Rs. 30).

yah jo vaulm dik raha hi koi delivery base buying nahi hi only day traders buy kar rahy hi intera day unko sell bhi karna hi retalers and hnis qibs ki selling abhi pending hi ,targets 22 ,18 than 11.

Just now the chairman spoke about 32% dividend, which is awesome! If Rs 3.2 comes for 25, then 12.8% return per year is good than any FD. Hold on guys, don't sell.

Sab is tulsian ka shaap hai.. he said 28 and the stock touched 27.1 and came back... hope someone hunts him down, god knows how has he survived in markets for soo long when he brings nothing but bad luck to everyone..

By the way.. there is 1 buyer for 10 sellers, but number of sellers is just 10% of stocks that were allocated to "RETAIL". where is the rest of the stocks???
