Applied in retail FF, with plans to apply for PNG using the unblocked funds. At the same time, advising everyone to avoid this issue if you are planning to apply for Bajaj Housing with the same funds, especially when the chances of allotment are minimal. Technically, a refund is possible on the 11th, but it’s not advisable to take risks with issues like Bajaj.

While many members keep raising concerns about amount being blocked (mostly from one psu bank), there are queries on shares allotted but funds not blocked/mandate failed etc. I tend to agree with you that such issues are mostly UPI related, ASBA transactions are comparatively smooth.

​@Chhote Lal: Thanks for the feedback. I see lot of people not applying in some of IPOs closing today as they are not sure of unblocking money by 11th noon (to apply in Bajaj).

Maybe I am old fashioned, but I do not see any major advantage of applying through UPI, or there is something that I do not know.

​@Chhote Lal @Dhiraj Ramchandani It did happen in the past that funds are blocked by registar and people missed the deadline. for example, if one apply for an ipo having last date today (9th Sept), then there are 1% chance that his fund might be blocked by 4:00 PM on 11th Sepetmber.

And this happned irrespecyive of mode of paymmet, UPI, ASBA etc etc.

So it do depends upon registrar to some extent and Registrar should able to release the fund by 11th afternoon, but in some cases, registrar released teh fund by evenign and that resulted in missing of some of teh IPO.

Same here. No issues with HDFC ASBA. Always on time. Even members write other bank server/net banking is down on last day, never had this issue in HDFC.

Even hdfc upi is quite fast
The problem with hdfc asba is you have to write dp no. Every time you apply and that's a hassle

Sbi as usual is the worst in upi.
Never experienced idfc but members say it's good
Kotak is also good

But this time in gala ipo almost all major bank funds were blocked but only sleactive account

In one of my sbi account they unblocked on Saturday only while in other one they unblock today 8:00 pm

Max to max i have seen here in the forum is 3:30 PM for ASBS don't know which bank but there was a thread about timings and the bank. Might have to search. BOB ASBA is till 3 PM.

Any other members and specially @Chhote Lal , knows about any bank ASBA which at least allow till 4pm. As because of my job restriction most of the time i get time after 3.30 pm.

​@Ashish KS Canara bank allow retail application (<2 lakh) till 4:30pm , Hdfc and Kotak allow till 4:00pm on issue closing date.

INDUSIND Bank asba time 3 pm not 4.30 pm please remind..

I suppose Kotak Bank ASBA cut off time is 2 pm

HDFC bank.. may be upto 4PM

Or through UPI.. u can apply upto 5PM (all bank's UPI)
