You are right. who will subscribe this ipo at 140(Even with 5% discount). Today's low is 142.5. It's looking very expensive. Nothing left on table for investor. I think before IPO open it will go more down. People pls don't subscribe. you will easily get from secondary maket below 130.

i think they have not given any discount to retailer?

It should have been priced in 115-120 band with 5% discount to retailers. With success of Coal India IPO, Government has again became greedy. Now, it may go in NTPC / NMDC way in this market environment.

Only God knows how Governemt will raise money for Hindustan Copper.

SCI could be a good bet like powergrid........
it will definetly give higher returns than moil.......
ths SCI stock has done extremely well in last 3 months and now available at 52 week low so good margin of saftey to retail.....
this stock is very very stable it can beat ntpc and powergrid in terms of stability , in the last 2-3 yrs its range has been 100-150-190, so @ 120 is not a bad price to buy ......

our heart will be with moil where we will get lesser return , but if we can resist our heart and also apply in sci along with moil then we will make more return than investing only in moil....

now i can say that this 2 lacs limit timing came at very very wrong time it should have come after november, so autometically we would have been forced to apply in both sci and moil.

one97 would have been a great ipo if it would have come 8-10 months earlier when telcome did not crashed at that time it would have fethed 2x valn than now, remeber onmobile it had continiously traded at high valn since it listed 3 yrs ago before settling at half valn 8-10 months ago.

my preference would be :-

1) MOIL --> 80% OF AVAILABLE FUNDS ( LISTENED TO MY HEART, IGNORED MY MIND)

2)SCI --> 20% OF AVAILBLE FUNDS ( DID NOT IGNORED MY MIND COMPLETELY)

REST IPO I WILL AVOID BASED ON ANY PERMUTATION COMBINATION.

this time i will not go for greate pie return like sreedhar does " 2 kill with one arrow"......

last time i applied gravita based on sreedhar's advice and got 5 alootments in 6 full applcns..... earn good profit but did not able to use gravita's physical refund for powergrid and cheque bounced although i made good comparative profit.

Also apply for SCI FPO with increased limit of 200000. This will ensure you get a higher number of shares (with of course the 5% discount for retail investors), you make a cool profit in FPO and if you short SCI now, you can make decent profit both ways...enjoy! Happy investing ...
