Guys, don''t compare retail business of Dmart with retail business of Shankara Buildpro.... :-)
Dmart is retail business for basic home and personal products, whereas, Shankara Buildpro is into retail business of home improvement and building products(TMT & steel products, Fabrication items, Cement, Roofing solutions, CP fittings, Sanitary ware, Tiles, Wooden Flooring, Electrical, Plumbing items, Aluminium Composite Panels, etc)
Both cannot be compared.
Peer of Shankara Buildpro is not listed in the market to compare with.
GMP is 160-165 after bumper listing of Indian retial giant in making Dmart and good Anchor book......Eagleye will surely give update of GMP from her side
Septa ji, Apologize if this is an elementary school question . Let''s say Suppose if QIB and HNI gets under subscribed , Will the portion of these shares allotted to retail investors ??
Dmart gave a yopping 100% plus gains IMO shankara will give at least 1/3 of that. IT is unique retail business model which has very big scope and future in India. I am going to apply this on day one as i did with Dmart
In Shankara one should apply by selling in kostak@400 because allotment will very tough ratio of 1 out of 10 minimum

History tells u a lot....looking at the historical growth rate in sales n pat figure doesn''''t instill confidence so its doubtful. Favourable points:
Macro tailwind for building material co through scheme like housing for all Debt/ equity ratio comfortable post IPO Decent first generation promoters Niche segment
But MKT likes growth which is missing big time in this company so I doubt for medium/ long term holding.
Just read a valid point from an IPO review for this company - "Though it earns thousands of Crores in revenue, it just earns 0.6% as profit. These can be vanished with small percentage increase of costs"
This company has not shown any growth. This does not look like a long term bet.
Looks like this ipo should be invested only for listing gains. ''IPO Gurus'' please advice.
position of "DOUBT" create confusion for me..company sounds fascinating IMO& u r seeming optimistic from earlier comments then y u doubt for holding???

@dot, I think word ''doubt'' was used by Nidhike in the affirmative sense, I know people who do that when speaking, for e.g ''I doubt it will rain today'' they mean to say that they are positive it will rain!
